Illuminate
Illuminate a product in a meaningful way
I incorporated a water bowl and mood lighting into a speaker system. The water vibrates due to the speaker’s sound waves. The resulting pattern is then projected around the room by the mood lighting creating some amazing visual effects. This pattern changes and moves with the beat of the music as different frequencies effect the water in different ways. Led strips were added in rings to add to the lighting effects.
A NEW ANGLE ON LILY PADS
Fully appreciate water lilies from all angles without the need of a pond.
Simply place our pods in the soil amongst your other plants or on a tank.
Easily grow a variety of water lilies indoors or outside with lily pod.
TANK POD
TOP BOWLS
Vacuum formed from 2mm sheet.
TUBES
Extruded tube heat bent into a range of organic shapes.
DRAIN PLUG
Injection moulded with thread.
TANK LID
Blow moulded from 3mm sheet. Thread tapped afterwards and connecting tubes lathed.
TANK
Bought PMMA tank by partnership with bowl fish tank manufacturers
Biorb. Filter and air pump option for tanks with aquatic animals.
PLANT POD
WATER TIGHT SEALS
Bought Polyurethane bands.
FLUTED TUBE
Bowl moulded from factory extruded tube.
SPIKE
Bought PP spike.
MATERIALS
All clear elements will be made from underwater grade acrylic which will contain the following additives:
• RTP Antimicrobial (25% silver based additive) MCX 125250. To prevent algae and microbe growth in the water.
• BASF UV stabiliser Uvinul® 3027 will be used to prevent optical and material degradation. There will be a black variant of Lily Pod which will also contain this.
• Liquid Aquarium Biostabaliser can be added to prevent algae and microbe growth in the water and on the plastic.

GAIA CATALYST
Stainless Spinners
I set out to create a range of quality Christmas ornaments. The final stainless steel pattern was too intricate to be water jet or laser cut so they had to be chemically etched instead. Each piece is then twisted into various helix patterns by hand.

Architectural Projects
From ideation, building plans and renders to interior design and site management. I have led many roles in the architectural journey so far. Recently I got the chance to work on Green Light Planets new East African HQ. One of my favourite projects was providing architectural and interior plan for a new events venue in the largest privately owned art gallery in the UK: The Biscuit Factory.

Interior design and renders for 40 Forty’s new bar in Nairobi, Kenya
Full interior design fit out for Peponi Secondary’s new chapel. We designed the stained glass, chandeliers, chairs, lectern, balustrade and more. Soon to be completed is a 4 m tall wall carving of the Tree of Life.

The Illusion
Pulsing diamonds
Where the diamond strip goes back over itself larger diamonds will pulse.
Bi-directional diamonds
The different frequencies of the patterns cause two directional movement of the diamond strips.
Flashing stripes
Where the lines go back over themselves they will flash together.
Design Cross Section
Aluminium box heat sink
LED Strips
Hardwood Housing
Could be turned out of aluminium to remove the need for a internal heat sink and cooling.
Air inlet hole
4mm Sheet glass will be laser cut and etched. It will then be heated until it can be worked around a cylindrical jig to produce the helix.

United Kingdom 2022 Sydney 2023
Following the success of Nova we created a huge 7 meter Supernova. This all new design now used pentagonal pyramids. It and 5 other Novas were sent to Sydney light festival where they formed an impressive constellation next to the Sydney Opera House. The pyramids and frame flat packed efficiently for transport.

Each of the 28 rings making up the Slinky could be controlled intependently to make an array of visial patterns. We opted to program a pulsating rainbow down its length to give the the illusion of it falling down steps.

Boat Safeguard
Recycling a plastic bottle and adding it to the printed clamp creates a simple automatic boat bailer. As waves move up and down they create a vacuum in the bottle . This vacuum, with the help of e one way valve, sucks water out of the boat.
Turning plastic bottles into new products for Low-Middle income countries
The Circular Plastics collaboration project created 3D printing filament out of recycled plastic bottles. I researched, designed, prototyped and tested four original 3D printable designs to help people in developing African countries. My products gained me an IDEA finalist position.

Evaporative Milk Cooling
An evaporative cooling flask which incorporates a used 2l bottle to hold the milk. The flask has walls with a outer mesh and hollow cavity holding a wick. The user adds water to the wick to cool the milk up to 10 °C colder than the outside temperature. This brings milk cooling to the large numbers of dairy farmers without electricity.

Peltier cooling products require a pump to cool liquids quickly, using additional energy. The pump would use valuable electricity that could instead be used for cooling.
Tests showed by slanting the condenser and evaporator, a convectional flow is created without using any pumps.

Butane evaporates.
Butane changes from liquid to gas at -0.5°C making it a good phase change material to be used in a heat pipe to cool the milk directly.

Solar camel clinics have been established in sub-Saharan Africa to transport medicine that needs to be kept cool to the isolated.
Bebaridi’s durability and appropriate shape make it well suited to this need.
Air coolers used in 12V fridges are cheap off the shelf parts that can be easily installed instead of the liquid cooler.
