CONSTRUCTION
Campoverde is a school located in a valley near the capital of Ecuador. The comission was to develop a master plan for the expansion of the school which includes a library, cafeteria, auditorium, block for high school, and several outdoor areas. The client had a great interest to preserve the green areas and to respect the topography, which was iconic of the school. The primary concept of the master DISEÑO Y PLAN CAMPUS EXISTENTE plan was to create an “educational park” that allows the LEPPANEN + ANKER creation of learning environments. 1 CAMPITO AREA RECREATIVA MASTER PLAN LEPPANEN + ANKER

CONSTRUCTION
“Campoverde is made up of two volumes FIVEClassrooms” CONDITIONS that are divided, and in turn, articulated by a bridge on the second floor level. Simple geometric shapes were used to maintain harmony with the existing architectural language. “Campoverde” comprises the first stage of what will be the High School Section. The project sees the environment as an integral element of the educational experience through learning “on” and “in” the environment. This is why the existing circulation system of the school and the way it relates to the topography represented the most determining factors during the design process. We were interested in reinforcing the condition of passing “through” and “under” the building; this is why the external circulations of the project act as an integrating element.
