WAYLAND JOINT FIRE DISTRICT SALE OF VEHICLE • NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received at the Wayland Joint Fire District at Wayland Joint Fire District, 14 East Naples Street, Wayland, New York 14572 by the Fire District Secretary for the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wayland Joint Fire District until July 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, for the purchase of the Fire District’s existing 1991 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck ("the vehicle"). Such bids for the vehicle will be publicly read aloud at 7:00 p.m. on July 20, 2023.

e enclosure containing the proposal shall be endorsed on the outside thereof with the name of the bidder, the bidder’s business address to which communications may be sent, and the title “1991 Chevrolet 2500 Pickup Truck Purchase Bid” for which the proposal is made. Proposals mailed shall be sent to the Wayland Joint Fire District, Attn: Fire District Secretary, 14 East Naples Street, Wayland, New York 14572, to assure actual receipt by the stated time and date.

is transaction is subject to a contract for purchase and sale between the successful bidder and the Fire District executed within 10 days of the award of the successful bid. e balance of the purchase price shall be paid by cash or certi ed US funds, and upon full payment purchaser shall take possession of such vehicle.

e vehicle is sold “AS IS, WHERE IS.” e Wayland Joint Fire District reserves the right to examine and investigate any bidder as to the bidder’s capacity to perform the purchase in accordance with the terms of the bid and these Instructions to Bidders; the right to reject any and all bids; the right to waive any informalities but, in case two (2) or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to purchase price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the contract to any or either of such bidders; and the right to examine and consider the bids received for a period of thirty (30) days a er the opening thereof.

A cash deposit consisting of a certi ed check payable to the order of the Wayland Joint Fire District for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid shall accompany each proposal. Cash deposits in the form of a certi ed check of unsuccessful bidders will be returned within een (15) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of all bids.
