Ms. Mary Ellen announces many programs for summer which include drop-in cra s and activities as well as programming for the Down on the Farm Summer Storytime and Tails & Tales Summer Reading Club. Virtual Summer Storytime for our youngest readers has begun! Children ages 2 to 5 can pick up their cra bag at the Library every two weeks. e rst pick up date was July 6th. Cra bags are available at 1:00 p.m. and each bag features a di erent animal theme. Be sure to check out Virtual Storytime on Facebook every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. where you can read along with Ms. Mary Ellen. e theme is “Down on the Farm.” e next cra bag pick up will be July 20th followed by August 3rd. While you are at the Library, be sure to check out some “Book Bundles” or make your own book selections from the collection in the Children’s Room. e nal event for Summer Storytime will be at 10:30 a.m. on August 17th at 10:30 a.m. with a Storytime Blast including a dance party, bubbles and books!
Children in rst grade and up can celebrate summer with Summer Reading 2021 Tails & Tales. Participants received their rst cra bag when they registered for the program at the beginning of the month. e next cra bag pick-up is on July 20th at 1:00 p.m. and the nal one is August 3rd at 1:00 p.m. e following Tuesday, August 10th, Summer Reading events shi to 3:00 p.m.!!! Join Michael Clough for record painting fun! Painting supplies are provided! Summer Reading 2021 Finale will be held Tuesday, August 17th at 3:00 p.m. when you can come “hoop” with us as Benjamin Berry brings Hoopin for Everyone to Dansville Public Library! Anyone can attend these two programs, even if you aren’t a Tails & Tales participant!
