Did You Know?

Animals verbalize in many different ways to communicate. One thing cat owners may notice is that cats have a tendency to meow as a form of speaking with humans. However, according to the North Shore Animal League America, cats almost never meow at other cats, as meowing is a sound generally reserved for interacting with humans. Cat owners should talk back to their cats often, as cats enjoy hearing their own names and their owners’ voices.

DOCTOR, DOCTOR

As part of my healthcare plan, I’m to have a “well visit” periodically to see if I’m sick without knowing it and take the wise steps to prevent illness. Jesus said, “They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick” Mark 2:17. As a Christian I am not that PHYSICIAN but I can lead you to HIM. A simple reminder to those who are Saved, we have a loving responsibility to those who are sin-sick and have not been Born Again to get to the only one who can help and heal. They don’t even realize they’re headed for a Christless Eternity in Hell. Jesus can also help the Saved from a cold, careless heart and in need of a check up. That’s what Church is about. The Bible is preached and Jesus then can heal our type of disease. You may be sick. See you Sunday!

KNIGHT in SHINING ARMOR

Very SPECIAL THANKS to the wonderful man who helped me after I tripped and fell on the uneven sidewalk outside the Canandaigua Post Office on Friday 7/21. Even though I was lucky enough to not be seriously injured, I’m not so sure I could have stood back up on my own. You were so kind to help me up, walk me into the post office and back out to my car, just to be sure I was okay. I wish I had a way to thank you personally, but will have to just hope you read this message thanking you for your kindness.

Missed Appointments

If you miss your appointment without canceling you get charged. Why then, if you have an appointment and you’re sitting there past the time, sometimes one hour plus, shouldn’t they be charged?

PLZ Return my JOSH!

Gosh darn it! My lawn sign of vaulting Josh Allen was kidnapped last week. A gift from family, he began jumping over my row of multi-colored solar lights during the ‘22-23 Christmas/Football Season. Similar figures exist to buy for yourself, if a fan. And if you’re the opposite, there are multiple methods to promote your own team without resorting to petit larceny. Please return Josh ASAP. The neighborhood misses him. We’d appreciate it, too, if you’d stop discarding your personal trash out your vehicle windows onto our properties. That glass bottle shattered all over my driveway & lawn, plus the road shoulder. It endangered neighborhood pets & children, plus passing sneaker soles & bicycle tires. We’ve got many more important activities to better occupy our time than collecting your daily assortment of cigarette butts & empty packs, fast food garbage, bottles & cans, etc.…

(Come Home, Josh! No ransom demands were issued.)

What

Takes To Be A Team Player

The ability to communicate, interact and work collectively with others is both a professional and personal asset. But in certain ways, the reliance on technology has made working as a team more complicated. People have grown accustomed to spending large quantities of time alone working at computers or on phones and tablets, potentially compromising their ability to work directly with others when the need arises.

According to Monster.com, when it comes to choosing a candidate for a new job or promotion, employers consistently say they want a team player. That means it’s advantageous for professionals looking to further their careers to brush up on their team-building and social skills.

Of the 260,077 solar industry jobs in 2016, more than 137,000 were classified as installation jobs that paid a median wage of $26 per hour. Relieve Stress Throughout The Day

Walk away. The APA notes that taking a break from a stressor is one of a handful of healthy techniques that research has indicated is a successful way to reduce stress, both in the short- and long-term. If a project at work is proving especially stressful, step away for a short period of time to do something else, whether it’s to go for a brief walk or converse with a coworker about something unrelated to the project. Avoiding the stress entirely, especially if it’s a work project or a bill that must be paid, is not the answer. But a short break from the stressor and thinking about it can provide a new perspective and time to calm down.
