IT Insights:

Transforming Rochester’s IT Landscape with Integrity and Innovation

IT Insights of Rochester is rapidly becoming a beacon of excellence in the world of managed IT services.

Founded by Chris Sirianni in October 2019, IT Insights has grown from a one-person startup into a thriving business with thirteen employees and a roster of satisfied clients. As the company celebrates five years in business and the first anniversary of their office at 1150 Penfield Rd, it’s clear that IT Insights is not just another Managed Service Provider (MSP) — it’s a local powerhouse dedicated to helping businesses navigate the increasingly complex world of information technology.

A Vision for the Future

Chris Sirianni’s journey in the MSP space began right after college, when he joined a local MSP and discovered his passion for helping businesses. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found another MSP, but he soon realized he had larger ambitions for what a managed IT services company could achieve. This vision inspired him to establish IT Insights of Rochester, a company built on the principles of transparency, flexibility, and a deep commitment to the local community.

Under Chris’ leadership, and with CTO Nick Polce and Vice President of Business Development Christopher Bierasinski to help steer growth in technology, process, 4 Penfield Business Chamber Directory | 2025-2026

and security, IT Insights has grown steadily, both in size and reputation. The company’s core services include comprehensive managed IT services, cybersecurity, procurement services, preventive maintenance, disaster recovery and data protection, and Virtual Chief Information Officer services. These offerings are designed to meet the diverse needs of clients across industries as IT Insights supports any industry or market space, as IT is agnostic to industry.

A Unique Approach to IT Services

IT Insights is unique in its billing model. Unlike many MSPs that charge clients a flat rate regardless of usage, IT Insights operates on an entirely time and materials basis. This means clients only pay for the services they actually use, with full transparency in how and why they

long-term relationships. It’s all about being transparent, with no hidden fees or charges, and providing the best service possible.

As a flexible, robust organization, IT Insights adapts quickly to changes in its clients’ needs. Whether a business is experiencing rapid growth or going through a slow period, IT Insights can scale its support accordingly. This agility is particularly valuable in today’s fast-paced business environment, where technological needs can change overnight.

A passion for problem-solving and continuous learning drives IT Insights’ success. The team’s ability to tackle complex issues and find efficient and comprehensive solutions in an ever-evolving field across industries has

earned the company a reputation for excellence in the Rochester business community. With countless new applications and challenges, every day is unique and interesting, and the team rises to their tasks.

Community at the Core

In March of 2024, IT Insights was named the Penfield Business Chamber’s Business of the Month, a testament to the company’s commitment to providing top-tier IT services while also giving back to the community.

Community involvement is a core value at IT Insights, where they firmly believe in responsibility to help lift the community together. The company proudly supports several local nonprofits, not just as a service provider, but as an active participant in their missions. IT Insights contributes financially, donates to initiatives, and acts as a public champion for causes they believe in.

Looking Ahead: Growth and Innovation

IT Insights has ambitious goals for growth and expansion. The team is focused on strengthening its local presence and staff while providing top-tier IT support and services to businesses that prioritize their IT needs. Their model is particularly effective in communities like Rochester, driven by healthy small businesses with deep local ties, and they admit they may expand down the Thruway.

In addition to geographic expansion, IT Insights is also focused on enhancing its service offerings. Over the past two years, the company has significantly increased its security offerings, reflecting the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape. The team is also becoming more active in helping clients navigate the complex world of compliance, which is becoming increasingly critical as more data and transactions move online.

At IT Insights, the team prides itself on continual review of tools, prices, and the impact of offerings. As data security and compliance regulations only become more complex and important with time, IT Insights is committed to staying ahead of the curve and helping clients do the same.

A Commitment to Excellence

At its core, IT Insights is a company that believes in doing the right thing for its clients, its employees, and its community. This commitment to excellence is evident in everything they do, from their transparent billing practices to their flexible service offerings and their active involvement in the local community.

IT is a complex business, but it doesn’t need to be.

Let IT Insights help! Whether you’re a small business looking for reliable IT support or a nonprofit in need of a technology partner, IT Insights is ready to be your trusted advisor in the everchanging world of IT. 1150 Penfield Rd. Rochester, NY 14625

Town Supervisor A Message From Your

Penfield Neighbor,

Since becoming your Town Supervisor, I’ve had the chance to connect with many outstanding community members and businesses. I’ve enjoyed the conversations, which have cemented my appreciation of this community and its special qualities. I am lucky to be serving you.

With that said, part of what makes Penfield great is its thriving business community. I want to thank the Penfield Business Chamber for leading this effort and helping make Penfield a place where businesses big and small can flourish.

Much like the flourishing business community, the Town continues growing and enhancing services for our residents. I am proud that the Town is moving ahead with projects that will serve and improve the lives of our residents. This work includes several projects that have just finished or are ongoing.

Recently, we have added pickleball courts, two inclusive playgrounds, and restroom facilities at Shadow Pines. This new project offers something for all ages and will be a tremendous asset to our community for many years to come.

Another project at Shadow Pines, the Clark House, is moving ahead. The project plan includes rehabbing the original Clark House and tearing down and rebuilding the remainder of the structure to create an event space that the community can rent. We hope to have work started in 2025. Once complete, the event space will help fill a big need for additional gathering space in Penfield.

Did I mention construction is underway in a new Department of Public Works? The new facility will be built on the northern side of the current DPW complex (1607 Jackson Road) and includes a 26-bay truck garage, a maintenance area, an administration office, a fueling station, and modern safety features. It will also include expanded men’s and women’s restrooms and locker room facilities. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026. This new facility will be something our entire community can be proud of, and most importantly, it will improve our operating efficiency.

There is so much to be excited about as we continue to move Penfield forward. But none of this work can be done alone; resident involvement is crucial. We encourage all residents to engage civically and contribute to these important town projects. Your insights, ideas, and participation are invaluable as we work together to better this community.

With everything we do, we will continue to be guided by the goal of making Penfield a top destination to live and work.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have. And remember you can always stay up-to-date on the latest news and information by visiting our website www.penfield.org and subscribing to our e-newsletter at www.penfield.org/newsletter.

See you around.

Annual Business of the Year Awards

2023 Award Recipients: Penfield Pride Award –Bar-Bill East

This award recognizes a local business that has revitalized an existing building, giving it a vibrant new look or repurposing it in a way that adds value to the Penfield community.

This year’s recipient, Bar-Bill East, undertook the rehabilitation of the former McGregor’s Grill and Tap Room at 1129 Empire Blvd. The 8,300 sq ft restaurant, originally built in 1920, underwent extensive renovations, including painting, rebranding, and other improvements. After months of anticipation, Bar-Bill East officially opened in July 2023.

The owners were drawn to the building’s historic charm and have thoughtfully renovated it to honor its past while updating it to meet modern standards. Notable renovations include new siding and a fully revamped outdoor patio, both of which are highly visible improvements.

As Clark Crook put it, “Our goal is for this Bar-Bill to be a Rochester asset. We want it to be something that the people of this community can be proud of and proud to share with their friends and family.” And they’ve truly succeeded in bringing that vision to life!

Congratulations to Bar-Bill East!

Each year, the Penfield Business Chamber recognizes exceptional local businesses with three distinguished awards: Business of the Year, the Daniel Penfield Award, and the Penfield Pride Award. The 2023 awards were presented in November, and we extend our sincere gratitude to all the recipients for their impactful contributions to the Penfield community.

Business of the Year –Eagle Cleaners

This award is given annually by the Penfield Business Chamber to honor a local business that has significantly contributed to the vitality and success of the Penfield Business community and has had a positive impact on the business community through their community involvement and business practices.

The recipient of this award is a longtime familyowned Penfield dry cleaning business. Their brand-new

facility grew from 3,200 to 5,400 sq feet and is located less than a mile away from their former building in Panorama Plaza. They can accommodate the washing, pressing and steaming of more than 800 garments a day. New to this facility, as well as New York State, was the installation of kiosks. The kiosks offer 24-hour service making it convenient for customers to pick up and drop off at their leisure.

We are pleased to present the PBC Business of the Year to Mike Micciche, owner of Mike’s Eagle Cleaners!

Daniel Penfield Pride Award –Penfield Hope

This award is given annually by the Penfield Business Chamber to honor a local businessperson who has positively impacted the Penfield Business community through his or her community involvement, business practices, and overall character. Daniel Penfield was an American merchant and Revolutionary War veteran whose entrepreneurial spirit brought him to Upstate New York with plans of building mills along the falls of Irondequoit to encourage settlement. Over the years he built or controlled several mills on Irondequoit Creek, including a sawmill, grist mill, distillery, ashery, oil mill, soap mill, clothing mill, and tannery. The population grew rapidly, and in 1810, the township and the adjoining township to the north were designated by the New York State Legislature as the Town of Penfield.

This year’s Awards Committee decided to present the award to an organization rather than an individual. This Penfield organization provides a food pantry, children’s needs, budgeting, and Christmas support for the Penfield community.

Their mission as stated on their website states: The heart of Penfield Hope is its volunteers who come together from St Joseph’s Church and the Penfield community. Some of our volunteers are trained in the ministry of encounter to work directly with clients and provide a variety of services. Other volunteers provide office assistance, accounting, organization and stocking of food, clothing, and diapers, managing inventory, or maintaining and enhancing the facility.

We are so humbled by the needs that so many children, families, and elderly have right in our own backyard. We are thankful for your mission, your heart to serve and the hours that you spend volunteering to make our community a better place. Your work exemplifies the change we can make, starting right in our own backyard.

The Penfield Business Chamber is pleased to present this year’s Daniel Penfield Pride Award to Penfield Hope!

Penfield Business Chamber Programs and Events

The Penfield Business Chamber (PBC) offers a range of programs and events each month for both members and guests. These activities are tailored to provide valuable networking, educational, and promotional opportunities for our members’ businesses and organizations. We also invite individuals and businesses interested in learning more about the Chamber to attend.

Our monthly events follow a consistent schedule to help members and guests plan their participation. The Topics @12 series takes place on the first Tuesday of each month during the lunch hour at various member locations. These events feature presentations on diverse topics from PBC member businesses, community partners, and various guest speakers. In 2024, topics included essential tips for small business taxes, storytelling for businesses, combating scams, leveraging LinkedIn, updates from the Monroe County Economic Development Team, and strengths-based leadership.

Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, guests, and a promotional item from their business or organization to contribute to a raffle. While lunch options vary—sometimes provided by sponsors—there is no cost to attend these events.

Additionally, we host Chamber on Tap on the fourth Thursday of each month at different local restaurants and eateries. This casual networking event allows members and their guests to connect while enjoying complimentary appetizers, sponsored by a PBC member business. Chamber on Tap is free for members and costs just $10 for guests.

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

In addition to our regular events and Annual Award Programs, the Penfield Business Chamber (PBC) collaborates with the Town of Penfield to celebrate new business openings and grand reopenings. We are excited to witness and support the growth of both our Penfield community and the PBC as new organizations join our network!

In 2024, the PBC was proud to participate in the following Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting ceremonies:

• IT Insights

• Go Car Wash

• Durst Technology

• Mt. Hope Chiropractic

• Dance Connection

Welcome Brigade Bag

The Welcome Brigade Bag is a reusable bag that was distributed by volunteer members to welcome new residents to the Penfield community.

The bag is filled with promotional items from PBC member businesses, providing a great opportunity for our members to directly reach new Penfield residents and get their business information into their hands. This is a free perk for our members! In the future, new residents will be able to pick up their own Welcome Brigade Bag at various locations.

Collaborate

In May 2022, the Penfield Business Chamber (PBC) partnered with the Penfield High School PTSA to host a Student Summer Job Fair at Penfield High School. This event provided students with the opportunity to visit booths from PBC members and community businesses to explore potential employment and volunteer opportunities.

Thanks to this collaborative event, several students secured summer jobs and volunteered at the Penfield Business Chamber’s PENFEST, earning required community service hours and gaining valuable exposure to businesses and organizations within the Penfield community. The feedback from both participating businesses and students was overwhelmingly positive!

We’re excited to announce that this successful partnership continued with another PTSA/PBC Job Fair in May 2024. Stay tuned for more details on the 2025 PTSA/PBC Student Summer Job Fair!

Fret & Bow Music Academy

Nestled in the heart of Penfield at the Four Corners, Fret & Bow Music Academy is a musical haven founded by seasoned musicians Michael Hardy (Fret) and Gerard Ramos (Bow). Going beyond traditional music lessons, this academy offers a comprehensive education that equips students with instrumental proficiency and the tools to succeed in the world of music.

Fret & Bow Music Academy specializes in a wide range of fretted instruments, such as Classical and Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Banjo, and Mandolin, and bowed string instruments such as Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass. The academy is dedicated to its personalized approach to education. Whether you’re a young student preparing for college or ensemble auditions or an adult picking up an instrument for the first time, Fret & Bow tailors lessons to suit each individual’s goals.

At Fret & Bow, learning is about more than just playing notes; it’s about creating a connection with the music, the instrument, and fellow musicians that will echo throughout the students’ lifetime. Once students reach a certain level of proficiency, they are paired with peers of similar skill to form chamber ensembles, enhancing both their musicality and their sense of community. Advanced students are also taught the ins and outs of the musician’s lifestyle, from securing paid gigs to understanding contracts and protecting their rights as performers.

With over 40 years of collective experience, Michael and Gerard have performed across the U.S. and Europe, bringing a wealth of expertise to their students. Michael holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music, is a founder of the Great Lakes Guitar Society, and teaches at The Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. Gerard, a graduate of Rowan University, is the Director of Orchestras at Penfield High School and brings his experience from the Garden State Philharmonic to his teaching.

Canandaigua National Bank - Penfield

People are the priority for this local bank “Banking is a people business, not a money business.”

The words of George Hamlin were passed down not just to his son, Frank Hamlin, but to everyone at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust – the company George ran as president and CEO for over three decades. The sincerity with which George spoke this idea into existence is the reason Canandaigua National Bank & Trust has been a welcomed part of each community it services, including Penfield.

CNB’s Penfield branch at 1816 Penfield Rd. celebrated its 20-year anniversary this spring. Sure, it’s a bank and, yes, CNB provides financial services like checking and savings. But what Amity Decker, Assistant Vice President and Penfield Community Office Manager, and her team do is help people feel comfortable with their finances.

Decker raves about their “wonderful opportunity in knowing what [they] know about finances and having access to colleagues that can help, and it’s exciting to think that [we] can help someone find their way.”

Talk for decades has been about the demise of the physical branch location in favor of digital tools like mobile apps and artificial intelligence. Over that time,

CNB has more than doubled its number of branches, ensuring customers can see someone face-to-face when they need it.

“I love that we offer all the digital tools people are looking for,” says Decker. “I use my phone for a lot of my personal banking, and these tools certainly aren’t negative by any means. But it’s different when someone walks in and opens up about what they want out of life—the reasons they want to be financially successful and the barriers that are in the way. And it doesn’t matter how much money we’re talking about, because to that person, it means the world.”

MGM Associates of Rochester

This October marks 40 years of service for MGM Associates of Rochester, a family-owned insurance agency. For the past 28 years, MGM has operated on Penfield Rd, the last 21 years out of the historic Lawless Homestead at 1745 Penfield Road. The building, a symbol of Penfield’s industrial past, reflects the deep community roots that have helped shape the agency’s success. Michael Montag, the agency’s founder, recalls his father’s wisdom: “A good day’s work for a good day’s pay.” This ethos has guided the company since its founding in 1984.

Since then, MGM Associates of Rochester has grown into a trusted insurance provider, serving clients not only across New York State but also nationally, following the needs of their customers. The agency’s reputation for personalized service and versatility in both personal and business policies has helped MGM thrive without narrowing focus to a niche market.

MGM Associates of Rochester takes the time to educate clients about policy options, so they can make informed decisions for their specific situation and needs. Instead of offering one-size-fits-all policies, MGM provides coverage to meet the needs of the client.

The MGM Associates 16 staff members, with over 252 combined years of insurance industry experience, have strong backgrounds in all areas of insurance: bonds, claims, commercial lines, customer service, health insurance, life insurance, employee benefits, personal lines, sales, and underwriting. Whatever your insurance needs, MGM Associates’ licensed agents have the knowledge and experience to serve you.

Michael’s daughters and partners, Gabrielle and Rachael, now have 22- and 27-years’ experience with the company. Gabrielle oversees the Personal Lines department and sells all lines of insurance, while Rachael manages the Operations and Commercial department. Michael says, “I am blessed to work with both of my daughters every day, and I am grateful that we are successfully helping clients with their insurance needs.”

MGM Associates of Rochester has earned six-time recognition with the National Independent Agents Association’s Best Practices Award and the Rochester’s Top 100 award. Michael’s greatest pride, however, is in the familyrun nature of the business and their commitment to the community. MGM contributes to numerous local nonprofits, including the PCO, Garth Fagan Dance, Children Awaiting Parents, and local youth sports teams and hospice homes.

As MGM Associates celebrates its 40th anniversary, the agency remains focused on providing compassionate, transparent service while supporting the community they love.

Welcome SixPoint Financial Partners to the Penfield Chamber of Commerce

Meet Dave Pulcini

Dave Pulcini has been a financial advisor since 2003, building his career at a large financial firm. However, in 2018 Dave recognized the growing need for a more personalized and flexible approach to financial planning. He made the bold decision to go independent, founding SixPoint Financial Partners with the goal of providing truly comprehensive financial planning to clients in Penfield and beyond.

At SixPoint, we specialize in addressing the unique needs of each client through a personalized, trademarked “Think About It” process to financial planning. Our mission is to simplify the complexities of financial management, deliver major value at every interaction, constantly improve and have some fun while doing it.

Dave and his wife Allison have two children who attend the Penfield CSD and 3 horses. Dave is the Head Coach for one of the Penfield Strikers Girls Soccer Teams, works out at the Eastside YMCA and is a member at Midvale Country Club.

SixPoint Financial Partners is proud to join the Penfield Chamber of Commerce and become part of this vibrant business community. With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, our founder, Dave Pulcini, brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to helping individuals and families achieve financial success.

The Six Points of Financial

Planning

Our approach to comprehensive financial planning is designed around six core areas, each crucial to long-term financial success:

1. Investment Planning: Building a solid investment strategy is the cornerstone of financial planning. We work closely with our clients to develop investment plans tailored to their risk tolerance, time horizon and long-term goals. Whether

you’re planning for retirement or growing your wealth, we focus on creating balanced portfolios that align with your objectives.

2. Retirement Income Planning: Preparing for retirement requires more than just saving; it’s about ensuring a sustainable income throughout your retirement years. We help clients create a personalized retirement income plan, designed to make the most of their savings while minimizing risk and ensuring financial security for the long term.

3. Estate Planning: Estate planning is about more than just writing a will. It’s about ensuring that your assets are transferred efficiently and according to your wishes. We work with clients to develop estate plans that minimize taxes, protect wealth, and ensure the smooth transfer of assets to heirs.

4. Tax Planning: Taxes can significantly impact your financial future, but with proactive planning, they don’t have to. Our tax planning services help clients minimize their tax liabilities, ensuring they keep more of what they earn. We work with clients year-round to identify opportunities for tax savings, from deductions and credits to retirement account strategies.

5. Risk Assessment: Every financial plan involves risk, but understanding and managing that risk is key to achieving long-term financial goals. We evaluate all potential risks, from market volatility to unexpected life events, and work to develop strategies to protect your wealth. From insurance planning to diversification strategies, we help safeguard your financial future.

6. Custom Goals: Every client has unique goals, and we believe financial planning should reflect that. Whether you’re saving for your children’s education, planning a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, or working toward early retirement, we create custom plans to make your specific dreams a reality.

Our six-point process ensures that no aspect of your financial life is left unexamined and that every part of your plan works together to support your overall goals.

“Dear Rochester, Retire Well” Podcast

and Educational YouTube Channel

Education is at the heart of what we do at SixPoint. To help individuals and families make informed decisions about their financial future, we created our podcast, Dear Rochester, Retire Well. In each episode, Dave Pulcini dives into critical topics like retirement planning, estate planning, and smart investing, offering practical tips and expert insights to listeners.

advice on all aspects of financial planning.

Through the work that Dave’s team has done, he has been able to speak and give keynote talks at large financial advisory conferences around the country.

One of Dave’s specialties is helping business owners reduce their tax bill, save and invest efficiently and enjoy their business. One of his goals is to help business owners run their business, and not have it run them. The approach is similar to a business consultant based in finance.

What It Looks Like for a Client to Work with Us

Our goal is to make the client experience seamless, personalized and transparent from the moment you first meet us through every stage of your financial journey. Below, we outline what you can expect as a valued client of our firm, from your initial appointment, through onboarding and ongoing communication.

The First Appointment: Introductory Conversation

During this meeting, you’ll meet with either one of our experienced Relationship Managers or our advisors. Your first interaction with us is a discovery meeting, which is all about you. We have a printed and professional agenda, but this meeting is about “fit.” Are you a good fit for us, and us for you? If you are, we talk about how we work and what to expect. If you are not, we will help you find the right firm. We are not all things to all people. We are all things to SOME people, and we like it that way.

In that first meeting, we will simply ask:

• “What made you want to meet with us and talk about financial planning?”

• “What experience have you had with an advisor?”

• “What did you like about the advisor that you worked with? What could have been better?”

That is it! There is no pressure, no sale and no decision. After this meeting, if it is a good fit, we will send informational videos, a detailed email and some material/ content for you to take a look at on your own time.

The Second Appointment: Financial Talk

This meeting is set to gather financial information, talk about goals and get specific. Typically in this meeting people will say “I feel like I already know you and your firm... what do you need from me to get this going?” We love that. This is intentional. The process was built for folks to come to their own conclusion, through our introductory meeting and what we send.

Usually after this meeting we are able to build a one-

Additionally, our educational YouTube channel features a wide range of videos designed to guide viewers through key financial concepts. From understanding IRS rule changes to navigating complex investment options, our videos offer easy to understand continued on next page

page “map” of where people have their assets and what accounts they have. Imagine a one-page document with all your accounts on it, separated by spouse (if married). This page also has the attorney, the CPA, the P&C Insurance Agent, the children and more on it. In most cases what we hear is “Finally, this makes sense… this is so simple.”

The beauty is in the simplicity. Of course, we can get as complicated as we need to, which in many cases we do. Our clients are trying to pay less in taxes now and in the future. They are attempting to ensure they are getting the most from their investments, that their estate planning documents are up-to-date, that their business is set properly for succession and sale and more. Starting with one page makes this all easy to see.

Client Onboarding: A Smooth and Personalized Process

Once we have all decided to work together, our onboarding process begins. The transition from prospect to client is seamless. Our team handles all the paperwork and documentation, including the transfer of existing assets or accounts, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

You’ll receive a welcome package that outlines our services, introduces the team members who will be working with you, and explains our client portal. Our Paraplanner will collect and organize all relevant financial data, from tax returns to investment portfolios, ensuring we have a comprehensive understanding of your financial picture.

Ongoing Communication and Service

We pride ourselves on maintaining regular and proactive communication. Your Relationship Manager will be your primary point of contact, ensuring you’re always up-todate on your financial progress. We are proactive in our reviews and as part of our onboarding process, we choose the month(s) that make the most sense to meet each year. Knowing that this is scheduled gives our clients some feeling of relief.

Beyond formal reviews, we keep the lines of communication open through monthly newsletters, market updates and exclusive content curated by our CEO. You’ll also have access to our online portal, where you can view your financial reports and performance anytime, anywhere.

Should there be any market fluctuations or significant changes in your portfolio, our team will reach out to ensure you are informed and prepared. Additionally, we’re always available for ad-hoc meetings if you experience a major life event or need to discuss new goals.

In Conclusion

Working with SixPoint means having a dedicated team of professionals who are invested in your financial success. From the moment you meet us to the years we spend helping you achieve your goals, we provide clarity, guidance and a personalized approach every step of the way.

Our clients have said many times, in one way or another, “Now we are looking forward to the future with anticipation rather than anxiousness. It is so nice to know that you are ahead of our evolving needs and taking care of us.”

Ready to Take Control of Your Financial Future?

At SixPoint Financial Partners, we’re here to help you navigate the complexities of financial planning and make the most of your financial potential. Whether you’re just starting out, preparing for retirement, or looking to optimize your current financial plan, we invite you to set up an introductory meeting with us. Let’s work together to create a comprehensive financial plan that sets you up for long-term success.

Next, we’ll schedule a follow-up meeting to present a detailed financial plan, tailored to your goals. The plan includes investment strategies, retirement goals, tax planning and any other services relevant to your needs. This is where you begin to see the long-term roadmap we’ve crafted for you.

Elizabeth Wende Breast Care

At Elizabeth Wende Breast Care (EWBC), they do what they do every day because:

• 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime

• Breast cancer is curable when detected early

• Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women

• Most women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history of the disease

Breast cancer detection has come a long way since the 1970s, and the Rochester area played a considerable role advancing the technology to find

breast cancer earlier. Tech giants such as Kodak and Xerox collaborated with the medical community, creating equipment and film for breast imaging. However, film mammography had limitations, specifically delayed image assessment, leading to extended wait times, repeat exams, and patient anxiety.

In the late 1990s into the 2000s, digital technology revolutionized mammography, enabling real-time image evaluation and enhanced and magnified views. In 2008, EWBC transitioned to fully digital mammography, and from 2009, they developed new digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT, aka 3D) research. This technique captures detailed 1mm slice images in an arc-like pattern, surpassing standard mammograms in tissue depiction, enhancing cancer detection while reducing callbacks. FDA approval came in 2011, followed by EWBC’s full DBT implementation.

As technology advances, the ability to find small cancers earlier improves. Today, EWBC’s seven locations offer screening breast ultrasounds for patients with dense breast tissue. In their 48th year of serving Rochester and surrounding areas, they continue to invest in cutting-edge technologies and equipment for even more effective breast cancer detection. They also prioritize patients, providing same-day results for screening appointments, two expert radiologist readings for every mammogram, and a comprehensive cancer risk and genetics program, ensuring personalized and superior care for the community’s well-being.

Elizabeth Wende Breast Care has offices located in Batavia, Brighton, Carthage, Geneseo, Greece, Victor, and Webster. All offices offer the latest in 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and same day screening results. To make an appointment, call

Eagle Cleaners, a trusted name in garment care, has proudly served the Rochester area since 1995. Originally located in Panorama Plaza, Eagle moved to its current location at 1698 Penfield Rd in 2023. With nearly 40 years’ experience in the industry, Mike Micciche worked at his uncle’s Town & Country on Monroe Ave until 2015. Mike and his wife, Darlene, purchased Eagle Cleaners in 2016, and now manage the dedicated team. Mike and Jarod Boisvert oversee operations and home delivery, while Sandy Leaper, Chelsea Erhardt, and Lisa Reynolds manage customer service, ensuring every client feels welcomed and cared for.

Eagle Cleaners is committed to three core principles: quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and value. These guiding pillars have helped the company thrive for nearly three decades. Additionally, Eagle Cleaners prides itself on being eco-friendly, using Green Earth cleaning solutions and a wet cleaning system. This environmentally conscious approach provides customers with clothes that are fresh, clean, and free from any harsh chemical odors.

Mike is thrilled with the state-of-the-art facility that features a convenient drive-thru and Rochester’s only 24/7 kiosk for drop-off and pick-up services. Customers rave about the convenience, which allows them to drop off or retrieve their garments anytime, freeing up their schedules and making dry cleaning a stress-free experience.

For Mike, the heart of Eagle Cleaners lies in the community it serves. He says the outstanding staff create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes going to the cleaners a pleasant experience instead of a chore. With a commitment to always “doing it right,” Mike brings decades of knowledge in garment care, and his passion for the business is evident in the company’s continued growth and success. They offer free pick-up and delivery services to Brighton, Pittsford, Fairport, Mendon, Penfield, Webster, Victor, and Rochester, making their services more accessible than ever.

As Eagle Cleaners prepares to celebrate 30 years in business this January, they remain deeply committed to giving back to the community, supporting various local charities. Looking ahead, Eagle Cleaners plans to expand its services with a tailor or seamstress by 2025, ensuring even more comprehensive care for their customers.

As Eagle Cleaners approaches its 30th anniversary, the company remains a cornerstone of the Rochester community, defined by its commitment to quality, sustainability, and exceptional customer care. With innovative services and plans for future growth, Eagle Cleaners continues to evolve while staying true to its core values. Whether it’s the friendly staff, ecoconscious cleaning solutions, or delivery services, Eagle Cleaners ensures that every visit is a convenient, top-tier experience. Prentice Wealth Management

Guiding Your Financial Future with Integrity

Prentice Wealth Management LLC, founded by William Prentice in 2008, has steadily grown into a trusted and thriving investment advisory firm. Despite launching during the global economic recession, Prentice’s determination and vision propelled the company from a modest practice with two employees to a well-established firm managing over $492 million in assets. Today, the firm boasts a team of eleven in a larger office at 1150 Penfield Road.

Prentice Wealth Management offers comprehensive financial services tailored to clients at every stage of life. From helping parents save for their children’s education to guiding retirees through wealth distribution, and everything in between, the firm’s mission is to provide honest, professional, and direct financial advice. “We work hard and do right by people,” says Prentice, the firm’s founder and managing partner.

In addition to wealth management and financial planning, the firm has expanded its services. In 2018, it added tax preparation services, and in 2020, it launched an affiliate services model, strengthening its offerings for clients. The firm also maintains strong relationships with professionals

in banking, insurance, and legal sectors to ensure its clients receive comprehensive financial solutions.

Prentice Wealth Management’s success has not gone unnoticed. Prentice himself was invited to join the Morningstar Wealth Advisor Experience Council, where he will help shape the future of financial advising products.

Now that Prentice Wealth Management has moved into its new 7,500-square-foot space, the firm remains committed to innovation and client-centered service. “Our intent is to keep clients front and center in every decision,” Prentice emphasizes, ensuring continued growth and success in the years to come.

Heart to Heart Bride

Heart to Heart Bride, a bridal boutique owned by Sarah Ashworth and her husband, has been helping brides find their dream gowns since 2004. Sarah, who oversees all aspects of the business today, purchased the boutique in 2019 after working at their original location in Manchester (now their sister store, Two Hearts Bridal) since she was 16 and a sophomore at Penfield High School. 2025 marks Sarah’s 20th year with the company.

The store moved from the Village of Webster to its spacious new location at 1170 Ridge Road, Webster in April 2023, making room for an expanded inventory, including a growing collection for mothers of the bride and groom.

What sets Heart to Heart Bride apart is the personalized experience they offer. From the moment a bride books an appointment, the team reaches out to connect, followed by a virtual consultation where brides can discuss their love stories, wedding details, and to answer any questions the brides-to-be have before their appointment. This ensures every bride feels special and prepared when they step into the boutique.

The store also features a one-of-a-kind “celebration lounge,” where brides and their loved ones can toast the momentous occasion with champagne, as Heart to Heart is the only bridal shop in Rochester with a liquor license.

Sarah says, “Finding your wedding dress is a core memory for a lot of women and it’s so fun and rewarding to be a part of that!” Helping brides feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free is at the heart of what she and her team strive for. A standout moment for the store came in June 2023 when Justin Warshaw of Justin Alexander visited for Heart to Heart’s first fashion show, marking a milestone in their new location.

Sarah encourages the local community to shop local, emphasizing how their support helps small businesses thrive and give back to the community. Heart to Heart Bride donates a portion of every bridal gown sale to Penfield Hope and supports the Cancer Support Community of Rochester through special event proceeds.

As Heart to Heart Bride continues to grow, Sarah’s goal is to fill every fitting room with happy brides and their families, especially in their growing mother of the bride and groom department. With upcoming trunk shows featuring exclusive collections and special offers, now is the perfect time to discover what Heart to Heart Bride has to offer!

Bach to Rock

Bach to Rock in Penfield is more than just a music school—it’s a vibrant hub where students of all ages and skill levels can discover their passion for music. Owned and operated by Imaan Belkhir, Bach to Rock has been a cornerstone of the local community since 2018, offering a wide range of programs that make music learning fun and accessible. With a focus on individual lessons, group classes, and performance opportunities, the school fosters creativity in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What sets Bach to Rock apart from other music schools is its unique hands-on approach. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, the school tailors its lessons to the musical interests of each student, whether they’re into rock, pop, classical, or jazz. Teaching through the music students love keeps them motivated and excited to learn. The school also emphasizes performance, offering students chances to showcase their talents and build confidence through regular concerts and community events.

Music brings such joy and confidence to Bach to Rock students and watching them grow musically and in selfexpression and teamwork is rewarding, Belkir says, adding that the school’s positive, energetic atmosphere is bolstered by its talented and passionate instructors, who bring a diverse range of musical expertise to the classroom. This collaborative culture ensures every student feels supported, whether they’re learning an instrument for the first time or preparing for a big performance.

Bach to Rock is committed to making music education enjoyable, inclusive, and accessible. Belkir says, “It’s about much more than just music lessons—it’s about building connections, fostering creativity, and helping people realize their potential.”

This year, the school is excited to introduce new programs, including the Muse singer/songwriter program for high school students that will guide young musicians through the process of writing, performing, and recording their own songs, helping them develop skills in a small-group setting.

With new ownership and fresh ideas, Belkir is eager to continue Bach to Rock’s legacy while expanding its offerings. They’re excited to grow their programs, welcome new instructors, and create even more opportunities for students of all ages to explore their musical interests. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced musician, Bach to Rock is a place where you can learn, grow, and have fun with music, all within a supportive and engaging community.

Penfield Pub

Penfield Pub (formerly Don’s Original Restaurant & Pub) opened in 2005 by John & Karen Cipro. Prior to that, John had worked for the other two Don’s Original locations since 1985, and his wife worked as a waitress and bartender at Timothy Patrick’s Restaurant. John & Karen have lived in Penfield since 1995 and raised their three children here, all of whom have worked at the restaurant at some point or another.

For the first two years of owning the restaurant, there wasn’t a pub, just counter service, and they struggled to get by. They often thought they wouldn’t make it. A friend of theirs came up with the idea of turning the back half of the restaurant into a pub with table service, a full service bar, and lots of TVs for viewing sporting events. They had to take out another loan and refinance their house to make it happen, but the end results have been amazing. They knew that even though it was a bar, they had to keep it family-friendly.

Over the years they have catered to the local youth and high school sports teams, sponsoring teams and hosting fundraisers like pancake breakfasts for them. “That has definitely been the secret to our success,” John says, “Parents are comfortable bringing their kids here, and the kids seem to like it too.”

The Cipros had a franchise agreement to operate as Don’s Original for the past 19 years. They changed their name to the Penfield Pub in September 2024 because the Don’s in Seabreeze was sold along with the trademarked name, and the new owners didn’t want the Cipros to use the name anymore. Choosing the name Penfield Pub was an easy decision, John says, “as the Penfield community has supported us all these years, and we couldn’t think of a better way to say thank you.”

(formerly Don’s Original Restaurant and Pub)

Penfield Pub is happy and proud to announce that they will continue to be Penfield's family-friendly gathering place. Serving delicious homemade soups, chicken wings, patriot burgers, fish fries and more. Karen and John Cipro, their family and staff extend their thanks for giving them 20+ years of serving the community they call home.

In addition to sponsoring sports teams, the Penfield Pub supports local charities including the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf and The Shepherd Home.

Open 7 days a week 11am-10pm, stop by the Penfield Pub for their famous menu of burgers, wings, wraps, kid’s menu, and so much more. Check out their outdoor seating as well.

DeLand House on Main

DeLand House on Main, in the heart of Fairport is owned and run by Rochester native, Kim Rose, and her decade-long KRo Events business partner, Lindsay Feeley. DeLand House stands as a vibrant testament to community, history, and innovation.

During the pandemic, Kim proposed the idea of transforming the historic rooming house and restaurant into an event venue, and the rest is history. In November 2021, Main & Vine wine bar opened its doors and events kicked off a few months later in March 2022. Kim oversees day-to-day operations and Lindsay manages marketing, collaborating seamlessly to create the unique events venue.

Kim and Lindsay have worked hard to carefully renovate the DeLand House, preserving the charm of the original 1874 structure while introducing modern flair. A particular highlight is The Blind Pig, a speakeasy-style bar on the top floor, a nod to the building’s Prohibition-era past. Limited guest registrations create an exclusive experience there, with reservation spots often selling out within hours.

With nine different spaces spread over its three floors, DeLand House is a welcoming space for a wide array of events, large and small. Kim especially raves about the community of patrons who bring rich stories and

memories, from decadeslong traditions to new friendships forged at the bar. For Kim, it’s these connections that inspire her daily and make the hard work worthwhile, especially considering the challenges they faced in renovating the historic space.

Looking ahead, DeLand House aims to expand its private events, add more live music, and complete the third-floor renovations. They’re also excited about new outdoor dining improvements coming in 2025. Beyond business, DeLand House gives back, supporting local causes like Lollypop Farm, and they’re hosting a special 100th anniversary event on December 31, 2024 to celebrate the building’s legacy as a public gathering space.

Proudly woman-owned and operated, Kim and Lindsay are committed to preserving the building’s rich heritage while continuing to create memorable experiences for their guests.

BlueTie

Revolutionizing IT Solutions for 25 Years

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, BlueTie has evolved from a pioneering email company to a fullservice technology concierge, providing tailored cloud solutions for businesses of all sizes. What sets BlueTie apart is its approach: rather than pushing generic solutions, the company works closely with clients to understand their specific needs, offering a personalized suite of IT services that includes security, email, backup and disaster recovery, VOIP, VPN, and remote IT support services, and so much more. By helping clients streamline operations and eliminate the complexity of managing multiple vendors, BlueTie helps clients save both money and resources.

BlueTie was the first Software as a Service (SaaS) provider to enter the market—long before Gmail and Office 365. With its own technology and in-house software engineers, BlueTie can quickly adapt and customize products to fit client demands. This flexibility gives the company a significant edge over competitors who rely on third-party solutions.

Personalized customer service is a core value at BlueTie. CEO Rob Doty and his team know clients by name, forming close, long-term relationships built on trust and familiarity. This personal touch makes BlueTie feel more like a family than a typical IT vendor.

Founded in 1999 by David Koretz and Tom Golisano, BlueTie grew to become a leading provider of fast, reliable technology services for a wide array of businesses around Rochester and beyond. Doty joined the company in 2008 with a very specific part-time automation task to complete, but within four years, he had cleaned up the

company and Golisano asked him to serve as company President (“and who says no to Tom Golisano?” Doty laughs). In 2017, Doty purchased the company and has served as CEO ever since, overseeing the company, managing IT, and helping institute strategic plans.

BlueTie employs software engineers, customer service engineers, an operations manager, CFO, and bookkeeper. Doty raves about the knowledge base within this team, and he says employee longevity is a testament to the positive environment they’ve built, and “it makes me proud,” he says. When people enjoy where they work, it reflects in how they treat clients.

Doty has guided BlueTie to profitability with plans to further expand by increasing revenue, hiring more employees, and continuing to support local colleges like RIT and the University of Rochester through internship opportunities.

Beyond business, BlueTie is committed to community involvement. The company provides IT support to a local church free of charge, sponsors youth sports teams, participates in the annual Day of Caring, and participates in the annual PENFEST; they love to help out in the community. BlueTie also helps local bank customers clean up their computers after falling victim to fraud, an unfortunately common issue today, Doty says.

“I love what I do,” Doty says. “Solving problems, helping people, and working with a great team—when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. I feel like it’s always fun.”

From revolutionizing the SaaS industry to supporting millions of users worldwide, BlueTie’s legacy is built on innovation, dedication, and a passion for serving others. As they look to the future, the team is excited to continue growing, evolving, and offering exceptional technology solutions.

Penfield Hope

A Beacon of Stability in the Community

Penfield Hope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating as a ministry of St. Joseph’s Church, has been a lifeline for families since 2018. Created in response to increasing requests for food and financial assistance, Penfield Hope was modeled after successful Webster Hope, which has served its community for over 20 years. Penfield Hope addresses immediate needs and helps families find longterm stability.

At its core, Penfield Hope operates a walk-through food pantry, providing essentials like food, household items, laundry detergent, and toilet paper. Since moving to 1771 Penfield Road in 2021, the pantry’s offerings have expanded to include dairy, produce, and meat, thanks to added refrigeration and freezer space.

Penfield Hope’s impact is evident in the numbers: in 2023, the organization served 198 families through 951 visits, a 90% increase from the previous year. They distributed over 3,000 food bags, spent $17,000 on food in addition to generous donations, and helped 28 families avoid eviction with rent assistance.

Penfield Hope’s success lies in listening to families and understanding their challenges. Trained volunteers identify broader needs, connect clients with eligible benefits, and offer budgeting support, helping families regain stability and peace of mind. Co-directors Cathy Kamp and Duncan Harris, along with key volunteers Terry and Julie Bedford, who manage food inventory and coordinate volunteers, respectively, work tirelessly to ensure all needs are met.

Penfield Hope’s connection with the Penfield School District further extends its reach. In partnership with school social workers, the nonprofit ensures students have everything from school supplies to prom tickets— items not typically covered by other assistance programs. In August 2024 alone, they distributed 140 backpacks filled with school supplies to local youth.

During the winter holidays, Penfield Hope hosts a gift drive to distribute toys, books, and winter clothing to local children. This year, the organization especially seeks donations of LEGOS and board games.

Volunteers are the backbone of Penfield Hope, with 48 dedicated individuals currently serving in roles ranging from office assistants to pantry support to building maintenance, logging over 4,500 hours last year. However, as the need continues to grow with rising food and rent costs, so does the demand for more hands. Penfield Hope always seeks volunteers to stock shelves, run collections, and help maintain the property.

As food and rent costs rise, Penfield Hope remains committed to bridging the gap for struggling families. Please visit penfieldhope.org or stop by their location on Penfield Road to see how you can make a difference.

several community improvement projects, such as the building of Rothfuss Park’s all-inclusive playground, a shelter at the Penfield Community Victory Garden, and in Summer 2024, Penfield Rotary funded the fresh fruit distribution through Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf.

The club partners with Warrior Salute Veteran Services, developing a strong, supportive community to help veterans reach their personal therapeutic, social, educational, and community goals. Penfield Rotarians prepare meals and dine with veterans at the Nucor House on a regular basis.

These are just some of the endeavors Penfield Rotary provides for the community and offers its members. Their members have lots of fun, meet people from around the world, and experience personal growth, all while providing Service Above Self.

RE/MAX - Carmen Lonardo

A Legacy of Service: Carmen Lonardo’s Path from Public Administration to Real Estate Excellence

Carmen Lonardo’s journey into real estate was a bit unconventional. Growing up in an ethnic Italian household in Penfield in the 1970s, Carmen was deeply rooted in his community from a young age. His father ran the well-known Panorama Barber Shop for many years, and to this day, community members reminisce with Carmen about his father and his shop. Carmen loves the close-knit Penfield community and is proud to raise his son here.

Carmen did not set out to become a realtor. With a graduate degree in Public Administration, he dedicated 15 years to public service, serving in various roles in local government where he could contribute to the community’s well-being. As political tides shifted, Carmen transitioned into a new career in real estate. Carmen knows the community inside and out, and his deep-rooted connections and understanding of the area particularly fit him for the real estate industry.

Over the years, Carmen served on the Penfield Zoning Board of Appeals and various committees, and he was Vice President and President of the Penfield Business Association (now the Business Chamber). Carmen is involved again in local schools and community initiatives, recognizing the importance of contributing to positive change. His community roles have given him unique perspective.

For Carmen, real estate is more than a job—it’s a deeply rewarding experience. As an independent contractor affiliated with RE/MAX Realty, Carmen takes pride in his autonomy to focus on what truly matters: helping clients achieve their goals. “Real estate for me has been really rewarding,” he says.

Carmen’s approach to real estate centers on understanding life events that bring people to his door. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer, an investor, a growing family in need of more space, or a parent downsizing after children have moved away, Carmen recognizes that each transaction is intertwined with significant life changes. This empathetic approach allows him to guide clients through the often emotional process of buying or selling a home.

As both a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent, Carmen is well-versed in the real estate market. He has built a strong base of repeat clients, who trust him to navigate them through every stage of their real estate journey.

The real estate market has seen significant shifts in recent years, with a strong seller’s market driven by low inventory and high demand. Carmen notes that the market is cyclical, and recent trends indicate a forthcoming rebalancing, though he and his colleagues have no crystal

ball to forecast trends. Carmen anticipates challenges ahead, especially with recent commission protocols that require buyers to pay for their agents, which he says could have unintended consequences for first-time buyers or families purchasing below the median cost, potentially limiting their options.

Despite these challenges, Carmen remains committed to his clients and his community. His ability to stay calm and provide sound advice during the emotional rollercoaster of real estate transactions has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor. In a world where the business of buying and selling homes may feel transactional, Carmen Lonardo brings a personal touch that makes all the difference.

For Carmen, the greatest reward is seeing his clients’ dreams come to fruition, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. With a legacy of service that spans both public administration and real estate, Carmen Lonardo continues to make a lasting impact on the Penfield community— one home at a time.

Tastings also take place throughout the store on weekends all year-round, offering customers the chance to explore new products in a fun, relaxed setting.

Lisa’s Liquor Barn is a household name in Rochester, with a recognizable advertising campaign featuring their spokesperson, LeeAnn Riesenberger, and her memorable “Hi Rochester” greeting and closing line, “Why Pay More?” Their advertising presence extends across social media and major TV channels 8, 10, and 13. Tobin hints at a “major escalation in advertising through the holidays,” which will highlight new products and significant rebate offerings.

options through their website, www.lisasliquorbarn.com, providing customers with even more ways to shop.

Lisa’s Liquor Barn is deeply committed to giving back to the community.
