five star luxury resort
come on in...
sea views, luxurious spaces and fresh salty air
Pulling back the curtains to sea views. Slipping into the warm bubbles of your private hot tub. Breathing in the fresh salty sea air. We know it’s the small details that add up to the perfect holiday. That’s why the aim of our day is to make yours. From discovering a complimentary chilled bottle of wine in your lodge fridge when you arrive to plump pillows piled high on sumptuous beds, we will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated from the moment we say hello. Sea views are literally the name of our game – Gwel an Mor is Cornish for ‘view of the sea’. From high above the beautiful beach and fishing village of Portreath, every five-star luxury lodge looks out across the dramatic Atlantic. From stormy winter days to calm summer evenings with soft breezes playing in the trees, the view is always changing but constantly captivating. Whether you are looking for accessible space, a cosy retreat for two or an action-packed break for all the family (even the dog!) we’ll make your escape to Cornwall as easy as possible. Leave behind the stress of packing, we have everything you need waiting for you. From corkscrews to garlic presses, high chairs to buggies, dog bowls to doggy beds and much more.

a coastal retreat Our wooden Scandinavian style lodges are your home away from home. From the outside, an unobtrusive wooden lodge nestled into a Cornish hillside. From the inside, it’s everything you’d expect from a five star luxury lodge and more. All the details have been taken care of. From luxurious linens to fluffy towels, sink-into-me soft sofas to kitchens packed with everything you need to get creative with your finds from the local farmers’ market. Most of our lodges have the bedrooms downstairs and the living space upstairs, so you can sit back and watch the sun set over the sea from your sofa or balcony with a chilled glass of wine. Get cosy and choose a lodge with a log burner, perfect for warming up after a wild swim or blustery beach walk. Outside, the Scandinavian lodges are ready for summer outdoor living with a sun deck, hot tub (selected lodges), stylish wooden dining furniture and space for a BBQ.

getting a round St Andrews, Augusta, Royal Troon, Pebble Beach and Carnoustie... The Famous Nine has been inspired by legendary holes at the most famous golf courses around the world. This spectacular par 3 nine hole course offers a unique and challenging experience to golfers and takes roughly two hours to play. Officially opened by Ryder Cup Captain, Bernard Gallacher, who said “I was intrigued when I heard about the idea of nine holes inspired by famous holes around the world and I enjoyed playing the course very much. The most life-like was the hole inspired by the ‘Postage Stamp’ – when I stood on the tee it felt exactly like it. Hats off to the course designer David Cooper for creating a terrific course.” We’ve created a course that everyone will enjoy playing. With spectacular views out to sea, every hole looks breathtaking. The Cornish weather will make every game different, every game a real challenge. The Famous Nine is the largest golf course using all-weather greens in the UK. And it is the only golf course in Cornwall using the very latest all-weather greens materials, ensuring that the course is playable all year round.
