A. James Clark
Engineering Scholars Program
2012–2013
A. James Clark Engineering Scholars Program The A. James Clark Engineering Scholars Program provides annual merit-based scholarships and leadership training for top undergraduate engineering students at GW’s School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). The program provides an exceptional mix of student leadership training and experiences that very few programs across the country offer, and it is designed to attract the most talented and ambitious young men and women to SEAS. Clark Engineering Scholars are selected on the basis of merit and on the recommendation of the dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science and a panel of faculty, practicing engineers, and SEAS alumni.
Eligibility To be eligible for this scholars program, students must be: • In their first year of college • Majoring in a B.S. degree program within SEAS • Enrolled full-time
Students will be selected based on their: • Academic performance • Engagement in engineering • Leadership skills
Scholarship Requirements Clark Engineering Scholars are required to attend a leadership boot camp and must participate in internships, study-abroad, and regularly scheduled seminars. The scholarship awarded to each Clark Scholar is renewable annually subject to academic performance and participation in the program. For more information about the Clark Engineering Scholars program, please visit www.seas.gwu.edu/ClarkScholars
