MORETON SHOW DIVERSIFICATION AWARD

The Birchall Trophy is awarded to a rural business within the Society’s Restricted Area (as indicated at the rear of the Schedule) which has completed a diversification project in the past 5 years. The competition is based upon nominations from a member of the Moreton-in-Marsh and District Agricultural and Horse Show Society. Nominations to be submitted to jess@moretonshow.co.uk by 22nd September 2023.

• The competition is restricted to rural businesses residing within the boundaries of the Society’s restricted area.

• The competition is open to both members and non-members.

• The alternative land enterprise must be run from buildings or land on their farm.

• Entries will be judged on their creative, commercial, social and practical merits.

The Committee Chairman will judge the nominations and present the award at the Farms and Crops Prize Giving evening in spring 2024.

THE BIRCHALL CHALLENGE TROPHY AND CERTIFICATE will be awarded to the winner. The Birchall Challenge Trophy is presented by Gloucestershire Rural Community Council in memory of Major Peter D. Birchall, 1907 – 2000.
