i. The Wessex Shetland Pony Group offer a rosette for the highest placed pony in each class owned by a
WSPG member on production of a current membership card. Contact group secretary Carol Hodder 01935 412888 for membership details. i. The South West Shetland Pony Group will present a special rosette for the highest placed pony owned by a member in each class. Membership card must be shown in the ring. ii. This Show is affiliated to the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society; Classes must be confined to registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue. Society rosettes will only be given to ponies registered with the Stud-Book Society or foals eligible for registration. Three-year-old fillies with foals may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. Ridden stallions MUST display a stallion bridle badge. In-hand stallions 2 years and over are advised to display a stallion bridle badge. iii. Exhibitors under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes.
Exhibitors under 12 yrs old on the day of the Show may not show entire males in ridden classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. Ridden ponies must be 4 years old or over. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part. iv. In the interest of safety, hard hats must be worn by all Exhibitors aged 14 years of age or under in In-hand classes. v. 314 RoR OPEN IN-HAND SHOW SERIES QUALIFIER
Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 3yrs and over, fillies, mares and geldings. Blemishes caused through racing will be ignored. Horses do not need to be shod to compete in the RoR Open In-Hand class. Horses can be shown in a Bitless/In Hand Bridle. All those entering horses and/ or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. This class is a qualifier for the RoR OPEN In Hand Showing Series FINAL. The first three go forward to the final at the RoR Goffs UK National Championships at Aintree in August 2022. RoR prizes will not be awarded to RoR qualifiers with numbers forward of two or less, however qualification for the final will stand. Veteran Prize - £10 voucher to be redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the In-Hand Veteran final at Aintree. 315 RoR AMATEUR RIDDEN SHOW SERIES QUALIFIER
Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 4yrs and over, mares and geldings, owned, produced and ridden by an Amateur. Riders must be 15 years or over on the January 1st 2022. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited. The Series is open to AMATEURS only – those employed in racing will be allowed to compete. Class will be judged under ‘riding horse’ format without ‘type’ being taken into consideration. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series. This class is a qualifier for the RoR Amateur Ridden Show Series FINAL. The Judge will not ride at the qualifiers but will ride in the final. The first three go forward to the final at the Hickstead Derby Meeting 26th June 2022. RoR prizes will not be awarded to RoR qualifiers with numbers forward of two or less, however qualification for the final will stand. BSPA classes are open to Skewbald and Piebald horses and ponies ONLY. Open to Members and non-Members i. These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the World
Championships of Colour National Championship Show. ii. All classes will be judged within the rules and criteria of the BSPA. Copies of the rulebook and membership/ horse registration/overstamping forms can be obtained from Show Office 01354 638226 or downloaded from www.bspaonline.com
iii. All stallions 4 years and over must be graded, licensed and registered with BSPA in order to compete and must carry into the ring their red BSPA Showing card. BSPA 2022 bridle discs to be worn. iv. In order to qualify, all owners/handlers/riders must be members of the BSPA and all horses/ponies registered with BSPA prior to the Show. BSPA qualification cards must be produced in the ring and signed by the Judge, otherwise qualification is invalid. v. The highest placed Amateur and highest placed Junior in each class (must be members of BSPA) will qualify for the Amateur and Junior Supreme Championship finals to be held at the BSPA World of Colour

MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND
These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-breds are not eligible for Mountain & Moorland Classes.
Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members. Owners of qualified ponies must become adult Qualifying or Life members to enter the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 2nd – 4th August 2022.
The highest placed pony in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified.
NPS/Corscaron Equine Essentials Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These poniesare then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner’s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit.

Copies of the rules can be obtained from the NPS. ii. These classes are qualifiers for The NPS/ Pottofields Stud M&M In Hand Summer Championship to be held at the Three Counties Showground 2nd – 4th August 2022. These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies in the main body of their studbook. Owners membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive qualifications. Foals are not eligible. iii. Classes 322-327 are qualifiers for the Spillers / Equifest Mountain & Moorland In Hand. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the

The highest placed Welsh A or B in classes 323, 325 & 327 and highest placed C or D in classes 322, 324 & 326 will qualify. Both the champion and reserve champion will qualify for this championship. In the event of either having previously qualified then the qualification will pass to the 2nd reserve in the championship. These classes qualify for the National Welsh Sarum Investments Ltd Gelding Championship to be held at the National Welsh Championship Show at Malvern on 6th & 7th August 2022. The highest placed Welsh A, B, C or D Gelding in each of the classes 322-327 will qualify. Both the champion and reserve champion will qualify for this championship. In the event of either having previously qualified then the qualification will pass to the 2nd reserve in the championship.
NPS/Cuddington Stud M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship
A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS qualifying or Life member in the NPS Affiliated M&M In Hand section. Owner’s membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 2nd – 4th August 2022.

A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1st January in the current year, if it has done any of the following: i) Won an open NPS affiliated mixed M&M Ridden class ii) Qualified for Horse of the Year Show, BSPS Lemeiux or RIHS Ridden classes iii) Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B.
Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year). iv) If a pony qualifies for HOYS, BSPS Lemeiux or RIHS in its second year it is immediately de-noviced and cannot compete in the Picton Final

Classes 344-347 are qualifiers for the 2022 Royal International Horse Show (RIHS) and only horses registered on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on the entry form and owners and riders must be members of the SHB(GB) Society. The two highest placed horses in classes 344-347 will qualify to enter at the RIHS. No horse lower than second will qualify vi. 348 EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS OPEN QUALIFYING CLASS – Run under SSA Rules defined in the current Member’s Handbook. Open to SSA Members and Non-Members. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd Adult and 3rd Junior places and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Member aged under 14 on 1st January of the current year. A rosette in memory of The Late Mr R Philpot is offered to the Adult Member and Manor Grange Stud Show Centre to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. Competitors must wear a hat to current Safety Standard or above. A special rosette will be offered to the Adult member, carrying their current Championship Points Card of S.S.A. That member will be eligible to compete in the Final for the Sir Lancelot Memorial Trophy (donated by the late Mrs E. Skelton) at the National Side Saddle Show. A Member may only qualify once per season between one National Show and the next, and if the Judge’s first choice has already qualified, the rosette will be awarded to the next eligible competitor. 349 BEST HORSE OR PONY RIDDEN SIDE SADDLE Open to horses and ponies 4 years old or over: conformation & manners will be taken into consideration; horses/ponies will not be stripped. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. Competitors must wear a hat to current Safety Standard or above. The Highest placed coloured exhibit ridden by a competitor aged 16rs or over (who has not already qualified) receives a Special Rosette and qualifies for the Side Saddle Final at the CHAPS Championship Show. Open to any type of exhibit. Riders/Owners need not be a member or their exhibit registered with CHAPS at the time of qualification, but in order to compete at the Championships, the Rider/Owner must be a showing member and their horse/pony registered with CHAPS before entering the final. Lead Rein competitors are eligible for this class. Leaders must be correctly dressed. 350 CONCOURS D’ÉLÉGANCE The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider’s personal appearance, but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. Fancy dress or period costume is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the Judge may ask groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of
Great Britain at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. iv. The three highest placed prize winners in classes 352 – 354 will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic
Supreme classes at the National Championship Show in September 2022. v. The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in classes 352 – 354 and a Champion rosette for this section.. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year. vi. Day Tickets: Non-Members may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Day Tickets per Exhibitor, per Horse, per
Rider per Season. A day ticket will allow entry into the Novice class only but will not allow entry into RIHS qualifying classes. Horses registered on a Day Ticket do not require a JMB height certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket by downloading an application form from the BSHA website or apply online. vii. Classes 352 – 353 are qualifiers for the Nupafeed / Equifest Ridden Cobs. Class 354 is a qualifier for the

This class is held under the guidelines of the BRHHS and all competitors should acquaint themselves with these before entering. iii. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Ridden Heavy Horse Championship to be held at Equifest on the weekend of 18th – 22nd August 2022. No entry fee.
