Director’s Note
I am afraid I must admit something: I don’t like the board game Clue.
I have always been more of a Trivial Pursuit kind of guy. I love trivia! Ask any of the cast and crew and they will tell you about the “fun” facts I spout off at times. The funny thing is that I also love mystery/true crime so you would think Clue would be right up my alley. However, my love for this intellectual property stems from the 1985 movie. It makes sense with my aforementioned love of true crime and a good mystery. The cult classic is hilarious, narrative (...unlike the board game), and is obviously the basis for the show you are seeing here today. The version you are witnessing today is very much the same, but is left up to the interpretation of our wonderful GMAHS students. You will see all the classic bits and hilarity, but just slightly different yet still just as funny. The cast and crew worked so hard to deliver a wonderful piece of theatre for you all and I think it really pays off.
Clue has been a dream of mine to produce after seeing my niece play the role of Colonel Mustard in her middle school’s production a few years back. I always pictured we could do justice to this show, but I thought our take on it would be much later in time than now. We are taking a big swing with this show for being a program that has only been around for two years. It’s a bit of a colossal production, but the opportunity to present this show worked out very much for us so we decided to go for it. We were originally going to produce another comedy this year, but when we realized the set had intended to represent a California sorority house and the hallowed halls of Harvard Law would work perfectly for Boddy Manor and all those lethal rooms, Mrs. G and I gauged this new idea of a change-up with a few students and they were all for it. You can feel their enthusiasm for this show come through in the performances. They are so excited to show you what they have created.
When we started this program, our main objective was to highlight our students and I am ecstatic that by chance every role today is performed by GMAHS students. What you are seeing on stage is a full-fledged representation of what wonders a scholar from Gwynedd Mercy can do with their determination and love of their community. That is truly a dream fulfilled for a director and advocate of these amazing pupils.
We hope you all enjoy the show! As I said before, the cast and crew worked tirelessly to present this seminal farce-meets-murder mystery. We are so happy we got the chance to live with this play and these delightfully absurd characters for the past two months. Hopefully, your visit today to our Boddy Manor is more enjoyable than that of the colorful guests who occupy our story!

Cast Biographies
Emily Bogle ’26 (Mrs. Peacock) is a sophomore at Gwynedd Mercy and is thrilled to perform in her first-ever production with Monarch Stage Players! She performed in her first GMMT musical Legally Blonde the Musical this fall as an ensemble member and Elle's Mom. She is heavily involved in the music department at Gwynedd, along with Student Council and the Leadership Department. Outside of Gwynedd, she has performed numerous times at the Creative Edge Center for the Arts, and she also had the opportunity to perform in LaSalle College High School's production of West Side Story last spring. Theater holds a very special place in her heart, so performing on the Gwynedd stage is a blessing. She would like to thank Charlie, Mrs. G, her family, and her friends for supporting her through the process. She would especially like to thank her big sister, Madeline, for always pushing her to be the best person she could be because she would not be where she is today without her guidance. She would also like to thank her best friend, Clara, for convincing her to audition for Clue and for going to Starbucks with her before every rehearsal.
Margaret Fitzpatrick ’27 (Swing) is a freshman at Gwynedd Mercy and is so excited to be performing in Clue! Before this, she participated in many different musicals including Legally Blonde the Musical this past fall at Gwynedd. Clue will be her first play and she is so grateful for this opportunity. She would like to thank Charlie, Mrs. G, and the entire cast and crew for their hard work on this production.
Clara Glennon ’26 (Wadsworth) is so excited to make her play acting debut in Monarch Stage Players' production of Clue! She is so grateful to have been given this opportunity and hopes to continue participating in these plays for years to come. Clara wants to thank everyone who contributed to the making of this show, and especially for being so welcoming and supportive of her throughout this process. So, without further ado, she is elated to welcome you all to Boddy Manor!
Gabriella Hughes ’26 (Yvette) is a sophomore at Gwynedd Mercy and is so excited for her first Gwynedd production. Outside of theater, Gabriella is a member of the Speech & Debate team and the co-president of the PRISM Club. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support, and most importantly, Charlie Gallagher and Mrs. G for making this happen. (P.S.: While the French accent is not real, the French certainly is all thanks to Sr. Susan!)
Grace Maguire ’24 (Professor Plum) is a senior at Gwynedd Mercy, and she is so excited for her first Monarch Stage Players production! Over the last four years, she has been involved with the Gwynedd Crew Team, as well as a variety of different clubs and councils in the Gwynedd community. She would like to thank Charlie for all of the time and effort he put into this show, as well as the amazing cast and crew who made this experience so special!
Melanie McDougal ’24 (Mr. Green) is a senior at Gwynedd Mercy and is so excited to be a part of her second and last Gwynedd show. Before Clue, she performed as Beth in Little Women. Outside of theater, she is involved in Speech & Debate, Girls with Guitars, and Cross Country. She would like to give a special thanks to her friends, family, and all who made this show possible.
Svea Mehta ’27 (Ensemble Person 2/Swing) is a freshman at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and is ecstatic about her first spring play at Gwynedd! She has performed in many musicals including the fall musical at Gwynedd, but this will be her first play! She thanks her family for the support and the director for directing such a good production of Clue!
Lila Murphy ’26 (Ensemble Person 1) is a sophomore at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. She is looking forward to performing as the Cook, Singing Telegram Girl, and the Backup Cop in this year’s production of Clue. She was part of last year’s production of Little Women and is looking forward to doing the plays in years to come. Lila would like to thank everyone who made this production happen and her friends and family for all their love and support.
Sophia Rao ’24 (Miss Scarlet) is a senior at Gwynedd Mercy and is so excited to be a part of her first (and sadly, last) Monarch Stage Players' show! She had so much fun with her fellow cast members at rehearsals with impromptu dance and singing breaks, Starbucks runs, and crazy vlogging videos! She would also like to thank Charlie for his wonderful directing, along with everyone else who made the show possible, as well as her friends and family for supporting her.
Nolyn Reilly ’25 (Ensemble Person 3/Swing) is a junior and she is thrilled to participate in her fifth show at Gwynedd! In the past, she could be seen as Alice in Matilda the Musical, Mike in Newsies, Hannah U/S in Little Women, and Whitney in Legally Blonde the Musical. She also loves participating in the different music ensembles that Gwynedd has to offer by playing piano, guitar, or singing. She is so incredibly excited to be in Clue this year as the Unexpected Cop and swinging for Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. White, and Professor Plum because it is such a fun show with some of the best castmates. She is so thankful for the friends she has made through the shows and wants to thank everyone in the cast for making this such an incredible experience. Thanks to Charlie for such an amazing opportunity. She would also like to thank her family for supporting her through everything! I can’t believe it’s almost opening night!
Allison Schroeder ’27 (Colonel Mustard) is a freshman at Gwynedd Mercy and is thrilled to be a part of her first Gwynedd production. Allie has been participating in theatre since the age of 8 and has enjoyed every second of it. Some of her past shows include Into the Woods, The Phantom of the Opera, Legally Blonde the Musical, Annie, and Alice in Wonderland. When not performing, Allie enjoys swimming competitively and singing. She would like to thank Charlie, Emma, her family, and all her friends for making this possible!
Ava Wotjko ’24 (Mrs. White) is a senior at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Throughout her high school career, she has participated in several of Gwynedd’s musicals such as Matilda the Musical, Newsies, and Legally Blonde the Musical, but this is her first time with the Monarch Stage Players. She would like to thank her friends, family, and her director for getting her to where she is today.
