Indian Naval Academy (INA) at glance The Indian Navy chose Ezhimala, Kerala to house the Indian Naval Academy because of its beautiful surroundings, marine traditions, and rich historical past. As Asia's largest Naval Academy, this university is well-known. Those interested in joining the Indian Naval Academy must either take the UPSC NDA (NA) exams or apply through the 10+2 B.Tech (SPL) path. Anyone interested in joining the Navy must first complete three years of B.Tech at the NDA and one year at the Indian Naval Academy (INA). For their four-year programme, cadets that choose Naval Academy move directly to INA in Kerala. After successfully completing four years of training, cadets are commissioned and join the Indian Navy's executive branch. The Indian Navy Academy aims to provide young men and women with a high-quality education as well as the essential professional naval training in order to prepare them for careers as professional naval officers. All India Merit is used to choose candidates for the Navy. The number of uniformed people recruited/inducted is determined by the number of qualified applicants (men and women) who pass the written test, Services Selection Board interview, and medical examination, as well as their rank in the Merit System.
