WHAT IS THIS ABOUT

I’m going to explain some features of Adobe Photoshop and how to use some of the tools. I will also show how to download photos and features about how to name them.

DIGITAL CAMERA

- Captures images by using pixels - Pixels are small square of color that are captured in an image - The pictures then increase in size

RATIO AND MEGAPIXELS

- A 4:3 ratio means the width to height ratio is 4 to 3 - A 4:3 ratio is shaped like a regular computer screen - A 16:9 ratio is like a widescreen computer

DOWNLOADING IMAGES

- A file size is measured in megapixels as well as the quality - You can manually down sample images that you take - A downloading cord is necessary to get images from the camera to the computer

BEST PRACTICE FOR USING DIGITAL IMAGES

- All files should be in lower case - The file should have the name of the assignment, semester, and your last name - Separate files by dashes so there isn’t any white spaces

SAVE FOR WEB

- It optimizes images for use on the web - You are able to use the actual size and change your image to a certain file type - Different file types for example jpg. , png. or gif - Photoshop automatically changes the resolution to 72 and the file size to a certain quality like high or low
