Gyprock and The Block Gyprock® is proud to again be the preferred plasterboard supplier for the 2020 series of The Block. Australia has a rich and varied architectural history when it comes to our homes, so for 2020 season, The Block went back in time. From the freshly Federated 1910’s to the booming 1950’s, and each decade in between, these fives houses required the contestants to update and incorporate different design styles to bring them into the 21st century. From decorative ceiling panels and cornice, to our superior plasterboard range, Gyprock® has been used to create the beautiful rooms, bringing style, charm and character to the five distinctly different eras of these homes. For the 16th season of the show, a new group of contestants have taken on the renovation of these unloved and slightly dilapidated houses in Melbourne's Brighton.
The Block 2020 Used 12,167 square metres of Gyprock plasterboard enough to cover 62 tennis courts. 8458 kgs of Gyprock plasterboard compounds and acrylics that's more than four Ford Rangers.
