LET’S TAKE THE TIME TO RECOGNIZE THE FUTURE OF THIS INDUSTRY AND SHAPE THE YOUNG TALENT THAT WE HAVE GROWING UP WITH THIS ASSOCIATION.

This month we focus on the future of the multifamily industry – the Forty Under 40 – HAA’s top young professionals under the age of 40. You can get to know our 40 honorees a little better as you flip through the pages of this month’s issue, starting on Page 28. These individuals were carefully selected from more than 200 wonderful applicants and were named the best of the best within multifamily.

As President of this member-driven association, and a peer to these exceptional young professionals, it is my honor to recognize the top tier of our industry! As I read through this year’s list, I couldn’t help but think of how much the honorees’ love for this association shows through their accolades and involvement in HAA, in their companies, communities and the industry. Congratulations again to all honorees.

All 40 of these young professionals have poured themselves into the multifamily world with passion and drive. Their dedication and stamina for the industry is proof that we must continue to nurture young professionals because it leads to successful professionals. By continuing this cycle of cultivating and recognizing young professional talent with this program, we continue our history of shaping great leaders, that will continue the associations legacy of developing even more future leaders!

Speaking of programs, HAA offers multiple great programs for all our young adults in the multifamily industry that will sharpen their skills.

For those members looking to enhance their leadership skills, the HAA’s Leadership Lyceum Program is one to consider. This development program identifies highcaliber, effective, well-informed industry professionals and educates them on HAA’s mission. If you have three or more years of multifamily property management experience and have served on an HAA committee, you are a perfect candidate! You can use the QR code at the bottom left to apply for this prestigious program.

If you want to be involved with the future of our industry, the HAA NEXT program is a fantastic network of young professionals who are 39 and under. This program commits itself to the growth of the ‘next’ generation of leaders within the Houston Apartment Association. Finally, make sure to thank the young professionals around you. They are the future of this industry. They are watching you, learning from you, growing with you and perfecting their skill because of you. And just think, you were once in those same shoes!
