MARSH RESEARCH CEN TER

Hunting Island, SC

As we are living time is going by very fast, and everything is changing in same phase. Including from t h e m a r e t e c h n o l o g y, w a y o f l e a v i n g , a n d o n e o f t h e m dramatically effecting for nature is climate change. This Hunting island can clearly define that change with its eroded coastlines, with boneyard beaches. One of my inspiration was when

from seeing exposed tree

roots, were this land can be healed. One of the nature ecosystem which helps for that is the marsh, it may not stop that but it can slower the process.

This building

will serve to help for this beautiful islands with living ecosystem.

ANALYSIS

OVERALL CLIMATE

DESIGNING FOR WIND AND SUN

The overall climate of Hunting Island, SC is nerally classif ied as long, hot, and humid summers th short, but cool winters. he spring and fall months often mild. Rain or partly cloudy skies are typical roughout the year in this vironment - in the summer nths it is typical to expect ery brief moment of heavy rain most days.

During winter, the strongest winds come from predominantly three different directions. The sun is at its farthermost angle in the sky during this season. During summer and spring, the majority of the wind currents are coming from the South. This will pose a challenge when planing for building and opening orientations. We need to be able to allow wind in durin g summer while avoiding too much direct exposure to the sun rays path. At the same time, we will need the sun to enter the building during winter without compromising on having enough cover from the sun’s radiation during the summer. WINTER

TIMBER IN THE CIT Y

Atalanta, the city where can be find anything and get lost is the busiest airport. It’s famous for i t s d i v e r s i t y, s h o p p i n g m a l l s , h u g e b r a n d s a n d o f course its sports. Another bright shape of Atlanta that left a scar is music. Rappers and hip-hop is g l ow i n g h e r e. A d d i t i o n a l l y, fa m o u s f o r i t s d r i v e - i n restaurants. Overall, the movements and actions never stop there in Atalanta. This city energy gives a boost to everything. From The city that sank in the forest up to modern dozen companies takes the vibe to a different level. The Atalanta is shaking the world with movie industry diligence. The tallest building in the United States after NYC and Chicago is located here in Atalanta. The view that this plaza has tells the story of the movement from the skies. So, coming from heaven up to the ground, the progression of the city’s blood makes it the heart of the United States.
