Welcome to Year 1

Welcome to the Pre-Prep School Dear Boys, We are looking forward to welcoming you to Year 1 at The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School in September. It will be the beginning of an exciting new journey and you will make many new friends along the way. This booklet will help you to understand life at Habs Pre-Prep, outlining what to expect and what you will need in your first few days at school. Your new teacher and your teaching assistant will look after you with great care and will make sure that you are happy and settled as quickly as possible. You have all come from so many different schools and so for the first couple of weeks you will spend lots of time getting to know each other. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to play together, build construction, do jigsaw puzzles and lots of other fun activities, so that you can learn each other’s names and make new friends. If you have any questions, please ask your class teacher or any other member of staff, who will be delighted to help. You are going to have lots of fun learning at Habs and we are looking forward to meeting you again very soon! Warm wishes,

Ms V Huggett

It would be a good idea to practise using your knife and fork over the summer break.
