Parks that tell Stories

Bend in the Bow is conceived around a concept of a landscape that tells stories about the site’s evolution over time and the role of conservation in managing our natural and cultural history for future generations.

Habitat, plants, structures, trails, views, art, and design elements will together convey the stories in metaphorical and experiential ways.

Site-wide improvements at Bend in the Bow will include natural enhancements, cultural and heritage elements, educational opportunities including play and active learning, site amenities, and wayfinding. This map highlights key existing conditions and features of the Redevelopment Plan where art can play a role in storytelling.
