The People’s Project – What’s About, Hadleigh? This project is taking shape and the idea proposer, Mark Snowling, and Hadleigh Town Council’s Projects & Finance Officer have ben working together to start the organisation. The date for the event picked by the proposer of the idea, which will showcase groups and clubs in Hadleigh who wish to attend and provide information on what there is to be a part of in Hadleigh for all ages, is Saturday 27th May 2023 and will be held in The Guildhall. This will be a free event, welcoming everybody and there will be refreshments available with donations to local groups on the day. If your group would like to have a stand at the event, please register your interest to projects@hadleightowncouncil.gov.uk.
Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour Anti-social behaviour should be reported to the police at the time of the offence where possible. Did you know there is an app for reporting and receiving updates? Hadleigh Neighbourhood Plan Update Currently, the Neighbourhood Plan team are working on the following:
• Local Transport Study – with 2020 Consultants (funded by Locality)
• Design codes document – with the free assistance of Locality / AECOM
• Landscape Assessment – requesting scope and quotes
• Further evidence gathering – specifically environmental evidence base on a high level and “Local Green Spaces” scheme. There will be a stall held by 2020 Consultants at the Hadleigh Christmas Fair on the High Street on Saturday 3rd December. Please pop along to see the consultants and have your say.
Photograph competition winners: The photograph competition was judged by the Mayor of Hadleigh, Margaret Woods of the Hadleigh Society and a local amateur photographer on 22nd September. The winners in the 12-16 age category were: 1st place Lily, age 13; 2nd place Samuel, age 14; 3rd place Matthew, age 13 The winners in the under 11 category were: 1st place Harry, age 8; 2nd place Olivier, age 4
