A Men's Shed for Hadleigh draws closer!
“It is not what we make but coming here and being a part of a community which is important.” The Men’s Sheds Association is an international association. It supports communities to offer a place for people to meet up, learn new skills, share expertise, work on their own projects or community based projects and enjoy companionship over a cup of tea. A Men’s Shed is a relaxed place enabling people to develop new skills and friendships. We are moving forward with our project to establish a Men’s Shed for Hadleigh. We had a good first meeting with commitment from some very skilled people to get us going. There have been lots of emails flying about, a very successful visit to the thriving Shed in Stowmarket, discussions with potential venues and both Babergh District Council and Hadleigh Town Council and lots of support from Community Action Suffolk! It is getting exciting! You are invited to an Open Meeting to discuss what type of Men’s Shed the men of Hadleigh would like on:
Tuesday 18th October at 6pm in Hadleigh URC Community Room Please do come along to find out more and be part of this new initiative for our town. We will be able to explain where we are now, how we propose to move forward and how you can join in! For further information please ring: Karen Harman on behalf of the Ansell Centre Trustees Tel: 07766 773094
