From the Vice Principal

This year, 2022, Haileybury will celebrate its 130th birthday, commemorating its founding in 1892 and its leading position in Australian education.

This year will see our community of current, future and past students, staff and families celebrate our great School. Central to these commemorations will be the consideration of the extraordinary contribution that members of Haileybury have made to our community.

In many respects, the tradition and heritage of Haileybury has reflected the achievements of many Old Haileyburians and the contribution that these Alumni have made to the societies in which they live and serve. I look forward to celebrating 130 years with you all.

Haileybury has been built and sustained during our 130 years through the philanthropic spirit and generosity of our community. Philanthropy sits at the very heart of our school. From Rendall’s founding vision and Dickinson’s financial backing, to the charity work of Mothers and Fathers Associations, to today’s Haileybury Parents & Friends Committees, Haileybury has been supported by many. And, of course, the gift of education to a girl or boy who could not afford to attend our School changes their lives forever.

The challenges of the past years have been met by our strong community, and the support of Haileybury’s Foundation is visible and felt. We look to each of you to give as you may, and we are indebted to those who support our worthy School.

We are proud of the service of our Foundation Board, led by Neil Sutcliffe and supported by its advisors.

I’m sure you will find this Impact Report inspiring.
