In November 2020, Stamatis was named a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Diversity Award, which allowed her to “participate in a series of educational, developmental, and relationship building experiences in conjunction with the 2020 AVCA Virtual Convention.” Her award was sponsored by SEC assistant coaches.
Stamatis played under MSU volleyball head coach Julie Darty Dennis as a freshman and sophomore at Jacksonville, then made the move to Starkville as a transfer when Darty accepted the head coaching job at State in 2018. The Bulldog setter had two great seasons in Maroon and White, including a 2019 senior campaign in which she became just the seventh Bulldog to eclipse 1,000 assists in a single season.
At Jacksonville, Stamatis was a second-team All-Atlantic selection after her sophomore season in which she finished No. 2 in the ASUN in assists (1,038) and collected 50 or more assists in seven matches.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Stamatis graduated from Misissippi State in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
