About Me
Art & Design have always been a major part of my life since a young age. The one thing I would always want to engage myself in was to create images that were interesting either in forms of drawing, painting, or photography. It was a way for me to escape reality and just be able to live in my imagination and have fun. Today, I chose to become a designer who is willing to keep learning and creating. To me, Interior Design enables me to craft spaces individuals inhabit and this allows endless possibilities and results. I plan on thriving in the career path I’ve chosen and to keep learning from others around me. I was always certain that my greatest fulfillment would be accomplished through design.

Senior I Design Project Duration: 3 Months In Collaboration with Graphic Designer: Dounia Lahlou This Project is located in Sharjah, UAE. The aim was to create a fitness market where people can shop, read, and even book sessions with nutritionists to learn further about how to live a healthier lifestyle. The market is surrounded with a glass window parameter that engulfs bamboo trees. With this existing condition, the interior space was divided with units that were designed specifically for this market. The market focuses on three main zones: Mind, Body, and Soul. Each of these zones contains a different program that people can experience or interact with.

Junior I Design Duration: 2 Months A Bike Shop project that is located in the Dubai Burjuman Metro Station. This project revolves around the idea of going back to life, experiencing what life is again, to touch, to feel, to see, to live, and all that can possibly be accomplished by creating an experience that can encourage people to start using bikes as a form of transportation. The Interior design on this shop is created with the inspiration of a bike frame. With this shape, aesthetically functional designs are created to satisfy staff and customer usage.

CAAD Interactive Wall
Senior II Design Build Design Duration: 2 Months Design Construction: 1 Month As a Senior Interior Design Class our aim was to transform the existing space located in the CAAD Labs in our collage building. What initially existed was a display unit that engulfed student models and material samples. Overall, it was a very messy space that students did not use very effectively. To change this condition, we came up with an industrial design that contains three programs: a display unit, a seating area, and a working environment. This project was designed to adapt to students needs. The lower portion of the wall can open/close working surfaces based on the students needs. Moreover, benches can also be pulled out or pushed inside the wall. Lighting was also a very important part of the project and was designed to be placed in certain locations were tasks would exist. In this project we used the metal shop, wood shop, laser cutters, and many more tools that we had access to in our university labs.

Cartier
Junior II Design Duration: 2 Weeks In collaboration with one of my colleagues, the aim of this project was to focus on designing a reception desk for the brand Cartier. This reception desk would be placed in their Head Courters Office in Dubai. The process to achieve our result required us to execute a full research about the brand and what they stand for. The front metal mesh design reflects the “love bracelet� and it goes around the all front sides of the desk. This desk was designed based on ADA standards as well to be functional for both receptionist and anyone approaching the desk.

Furniture Basics, Experimental Duration: 1 week A stool inspired by traditional arab stools in Syria, Damascus. This stool was made using solid wood and rope that was hand woven into the stool to create the seating surface.

PD Screen
Pro bono, Screen Design Fabrication Duration: 1.5 months A custom made piece for a client to be placed in an office space as a partition that separates between the working space and seating area. The materials we used consist of wood, acrylic, and paint finish. The idea was to challenge the normal look of a screen and create a piece that looks compositionally interesting.

Light Design, Table Light
The Cloud
Light Duration: 2 Weeks In collaboration with my colleagues, we have managed to create a hand-made table light piece based on the idea of creating a lamp that conveys the shape of a cloud. This light piece is made of recycled bulbs, cotton, and LED lights. In order to create this overall affect, this project underwent the process of sanding bulbs of different sizes to give the resulting controlled ambiance.

We were able to design a five story villa that fits the clients requested needs and desires. Within every designed space lye’s function and purpose. The overall design revolves around the main theme of modern / eclectic feel that is carried throughout the villa.
