Time-of-Use Rates Charges are calculated based on the time of day that the electricity is used. Please refer to the chart below as a guideline in shifting your usage to the most economical time period in order to reduce the amount you are charged for electricity.
Shift from on-peak to off-peak periods when possible to help manage electricity costs, reduce strain on the electricity system, and help the environment.
Regulatory Charges
ONTARIO CLEAN ENERGY BENEFIT Eligible customers will receive a credit of 10% on total electricity charges up to 3,000 kWh a month, including HST from January 1, 2011 through December 2015. Certain conditions apply. Based on loss adjusted usage factor of 1.0655 applied to kWh. • 2 Rates shown above include rate riders. Rate riders are charges or credits that Haldimand County Hydro incurred for delivering electricity to customers that have not been recovered or refunded through rates, such as the 1% reduction to distribution charges as a result of Hydro One’s purchase of Haldimand County Hydro. Also, included under Delivery is an adjustment for line losses.
