Safety First

Holiday Safety! The holiday season is a busy time of year, so it’s important to put safety first for your friends and family – especially children and pets. Use Abby the Safety Dog’s tips below to avoid hidden electrical dangers that can arise during the holidays:

it’s

■ Use only indoor lighting on your tree. ■ Don’t overload electrical outlets. ■ Ensure the tree is kept away from floor heaters, fireplaces, electrical outlets and other electrical sources. ■

Stay safe and save. Make sure you turn off your lights before you leave the house and at bedtime, or use lights with programmable timers.

■ To avoid electrical shocks never use electric lights on metallic trees.

Coming Soon! Haldimand County Hydro is currently working on implementing our new eCare web tool and it’s expected to be launched in January 2013. With this tool in place, our customers can look forward to more streamlined and friendlier web services.

Make sure to watch our website for regular updates!
