Holiday 2013
The holiday season is a busy time of year, so it’s important to put safety first for your friends and family – especially children and pets. Use Abby the Safety Dog’s tips below to avoid hidden electrical dangers that can arise during the holidays: • Use only indoor lighting on your tree. • Don’t overload electrical outlets. • Ensure the tree is kept away from floor heaters, fireplaces, electrical outlets and other electrical sources.
Great Service!
• Stay safe and save. Make sure you turn off your lights before you leave the house and at bedtime, or use lights with programmable timers. • To avoid electrical shocks never use electric lights on metallic trees.
“Just wanted to write and apprise you of the great service we received this morning (2 a.m.)! When half of our house was without power, we figured it was one of the phases and placed a call to your emergency after-hours, and advised them first thing in the morning for someone to come out was fine. To our surprise about 2 a.m. a truck rolled into our driveway and they called to advise us they were here. The linemen came inside and checked our inside service and determined there was indeed a problem. They proceeded to do some transformer worker and about an hour later everything was fully restored. My wife and I were overly pleased at the quick, professional and efficient service. Just wanted to pass along our thanks!” Brian from Caledonia Follow us @HCHydro for service updates, customer information and breaking news.
