Various forms of dsyfunction appear among populations exposed to typography for long periods of time. Listed here are a number of
Typophilia
Typophobia
Typochondria
Typothermia
Common Typographic Disease An excessive attachment to and fascination with the shape of letters, often to the exclusion of other interests and object choices. Typophiliacs usually die penniless and alone.
The irrational dislike of letterforms, often marked by a preference for icons, dingbats, and-in fatal cases-bullets and daggers. The fears of the typophobe can often be quieted (but not cured) by steady doses of Helvetica and Times Roman.
A persistent anxiety that one has selected the wrong typeface. This condition is often paired with okd (optical kerning disorder), the need to constantly adjust and readjust the spaces between the letters.
Project 5 This project was created using a grid format. Using the grid hel ped with placement and proved extremely use ful to t y p o g ra p hic design .

Illustrative Words
add + io n Project 6 expresses font choice and compostition in terms of illustrating a descriptive word.
Project 7
This project included a self-promotional piece in which I created a mock show with a fictional date and setting. Included in this piece is visual hierarchy, typographic contrast, and a previous illustration of mine used for the background

Project 8 was to create a piece to promote a social issue. I showcased music censorship and included a sense of hand-drawn typographic designs, grid layouts, and the magic of photoshop and picture alteration. Displayed on an 11x17 poster size.
Book Jacket Project Project 9 expresses the knowledge gained throughout the course in terms of typographic design, using designer elements, font choice, artistic freedom and overall layout. These were all incorporated to create a book jacket including the front and back cover, spine, and inside flaps. These elements were combined to appeal as an interesting cover that will stand out if placed on a bookshelf.
