The overall proposal is to simplify the current layout arrangement of spaces of the Bungalow in order to achieve a more free-flowing plan, connecting the open-plan kitchen Diner with a snug and Lounge area. Proposal also includes two additional Bedrooms in the loft with individual en-suite. This involves the proposal of a Dormer at front of Property and a smaller dormer at the mid-rear.

3 MDM ARCHITECTS
GULSHAN BRIDGE, DHAKA
Proposal to renovate the existing Park Bridge by increasing the current deck width and securing the overall structure, making it safe for the public.

LAKESHORE HOTEL, DHAKA
Located in a busy prime area of Dhaka City, the external Elevator is proposed to stand 8-storeys high. Radiating into the skyline the intention is to create a landmark which will compliment the existing Lake Shore Hotel.

The concept is to adjoin a steel structured frame with a glass skin around the perimeter to the existing hotel building giving users an alternative access with views onto the busy streets outside and Gulshan Lake. A steel Structure, the glass is partially covered by patterned decor which resembles and take influence fromSouth-Asian Mehndi pattern which flows upwards connecting towards the sky.

HERITAGE MUSEUM DHAKA, BANGLADESH
LOCATION
WHY DHAKA CITY?
Bangladesh, located in the north-eastern part of the Sub-continent, gained its independence from Pakistan in 1971.
Dhaka is the financial capital of Bangladesh, it is bustling with people from all parts of Bangladesh who live and work in the city. It is also a hub for foreigners who come to do business and visit the capital. The location will allow for an effective exposure to locals as well as the wider international community.
The site is located in the capital city of Dhaka at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar translated (The city of the Bengal Tiger). It is a well known part of the City as it sits in close proximity to the the National Parliament Building known locally as the ‘Sangshad Bhavan’. THE SITE
This specific site was chosen due to its powerful nature, reflecting on the Parliament building and to give a direct connotation to the need and liberation of the marginalised Indigenous people of the Chittagong Hilltracts. HERITAGE MUSEUM IN CONTEXT
THE AGENDA ‘Saving the Chittagong Hilltracts and the indigenous people’ THE OBJECTIVE Creating Awareness - Building a platform for the ‘voiceless’ The building typology is a response to the social issues identified. The Museum will act as a place for dialogue, a living room where in which people may come together to meet and exchange knowledge and share experiences. The focus of the proposal is to create awareness for the marginalised ethnic minorities of Bangladesh- ‘The Adivasi’s’ (indigenous people) who continue to suffer in silence. PARLIAMENT BUILDING FOCAL POINT
The indigenous tribes are concentrated in the Chittagong Hilltracts (CHT) in the South-eastern part of Bangladesh. Twelve tribal groups are located in this region, the largest being the Chakma. CHT are post conflict areas that have been disadvantaged and isolated in the past decades. These districts were ravaged by over 25 years of civil unrest, which officially ended in 1997 with the signing of the Peace Accord. One of the elements of the Peace Accord was to recognize the rights of indigenous communities to land and other sovereign issues, which have yet to be fully realised and remain a source of tension in the CHT. Today the people of the Hilltracts are treated in unlawful ways by the dominant ‘Bengali majority of Bangladesh’’ because of their differences in both appearance and the ways in which they choose to live there daily lives.
JUSTICE
FREEDOM Give voice to the voiceless- Provide a platform for the Adivasi’s (Indigenous people), so to break the silence. Campaign for Rights - Justice & Equality of the Adivasi’s. Genocide- Build awareness of the atrocities which are/ and have been taking place within the Hilltracts since Bangladesh’s independance of 1971, and to clearly depict and highlight events and the loss of lives within the mountainous areas. Promote and support the preservation of environment, the largest hilly area of Bangladesh.
Higlight the liberation war of 1971, and to remind the nation of the struggle of Bangladeshi Independance from Pakistan and the importance of living together and not repeating history.

‘The Rise for freedom’, walking between the towers at concourse level ‘Twelve Silo like structures identify each of the tribal groups and their struggle for freedom within the country, the structures are reinforced concrete rendered in a locally sourced lime harling finish to give out a light subtle texture’

COMMERCIAL TOWER 2 VERTIGO TINSLEY, SHEFFIELD
THE BRIEF ‘Vertigo’ commercial tower sits adjacent to the bustling Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre, with nearby train and bus transport system makes it ideal in commuting to the city. The concept design consists of a four layer tier arrangement of spaces broken down to derive form.

‘PROCESS’
COMMUNITY ARTS BUILDING ATTERCLIFFE, SHEFFIELD
The concept is the idea of connecting and ‘marrying’ together Materials - ‘Steel’ which is based on Sheffields history and its decline in the steel industry (denoting pollution, dirt and raw texture of the indurstry) and ‘Wood’ to notate the begining of a fresh start, a new journey towards a vibrant Atterclife. These materials are infused together to commemorate Sheffields journey through time. Sketch development:
