Please be sure to enjoy the evening and as always thank you for your support

Well the 126 year wait for Helston’s first ever home FA Cup tie didn’t disappoint with a ’smash and grab’ victory thanks to a late Rikki Shepherd brace. Commiserations to our visitors, Falmouth Town, who we welcome back to Kellaway Park this evening for a second time in just four days. We now travel to The Mill, home of Torpoint Athletic, on Saturday 3rd September for a history making taste of FA Cup 1st qualifying round action.

For details of all scheduled fixtures, please refer to a later page of this programme.

A final word from Saturday. The emotional rollercoaster of any competitive football match, whether you are competing or spectating, can be one of elation and/or frustration. Such emotions can be prolonged or change in an instant. Whatever a person’s emotional state may be at any given time, this does not permit the need for anyone to jump the pitch barrier and enter the field of play. The incident from Saturday is being dealt with, but comes with a reminder to us all to ensure we both encourage and comply with the ‘Play Your Part’ Code of Conduct, found later in this programme. Helston Athletic prides itself on being a community football club that encourages respect to all its members and guests. It will however take action against anyone who chooses to ignore. This evening its back to Toolstation Western League Premier League action; whilst in addition to the return of the players, officials and supporters of Falmouth Town, we also extend a warm welcome to our appointed match officials Michael Halford, Alan Hoon and Sam Doble.

Football continues to come thick and fast over the forthcoming days as, believe it or not, we are away at Torpoint this forthcoming Saturday, KO 3:00pm, whilst we look forward to hosting newly promoted and high flying Sherborne Town on Bank Holiday Monday, again a 3:00pm KO.

For the first time this season we also have a match sponsor. A regular to Blues HQ, it's a huge thank you to Wilf Wilcocks, Director of Phoenix Signs, for this magnificent support. We hope all in your party enjoy your evening of hospitality. We also look forward to Wilf choosing and presenting this evenings Blues Man of The Match Award post the final whistle.

Paul (Chairman)Hendy

Think that’s all I have for you this evening folks.
