In re-inventing the Peugeot logo to create a sign for Barlow Motors, the most important elements of Peugeot’s image were retained and re-purposed to create a striking new image. Most notably, the Lion which has served as a symbol of strength, speed and pride, and has been with the brand for over 150 years, forms the leading form of the company name; this motif continues along the sign’s elongated sleek for to further emphasise these traits.

The neon lights that illuminate the sign were covered by steel plates that form the new logo in order to emphasis the confidence Peugeot has in its vehicles and the lack of a need for overly bright and attenton-grabbing signage to attract any who appreciate fine motor vehicles. The neon lights themselves backlight the sign in the regal blue colour used by Peugeot in previous designs.
