UK site managers win top award for house building quality

Organised by NHBC, the UK’s leading new homes warranty and insurance provider, Pride in the Job celebrates site managers who have achieved the very highest standards in house building. It is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry and a prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. The winner in the Small Builder Category was Sam Sayers from S & DS Construction for Mount Bernard Rise, Dungannon in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

The CLC has issued its latest construction product availability statement

The Construction Leadership Council has found that price inflation is stabilising, with timber continuing to fall, but the price of some energy intensive products, such as bricks, cement and PIR insulation, increased by around 10% in January, due to energy and distribution costs. There remains an ongoing problem in relation to gas boilers as a result of global semi-conductor supply chain issues.
