The last thirty years of Warhol shaped one of the most prolific and persistently acclaimed artistic practices in Contemporary Art, tapping into American ideas of mass-production and consumer culture. The exhibition will showcase Warhol’s obsession with celebrity, including portraits of Debbie Harry, Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger, Jane Fonda alongside other rare finds. Three decades after Warhol’s death, and close to three decades after Hamilton-Selway opened its doors, the gallery is more proud than ever to be the leading dealer of Warhol’s work on the West Coast.
