Jim and Sandy Frost made Hampton Hall home in June 2022, relocating from Franklin, TN, when they moved to their new house on Wicklow overlooking hole #8.
Sandy grew up outside of Des Moines, IA. She graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she majored in Business Administration. She worked in retail at the Younkers department store chain, finishing her career as a buyer. She then focused on raising the Frost’s two children and supporting Jim’s career. With many homes over the years, Sandy has experienced and enjoys all aspects of home renovation and is quite the painter.

Jim was raised in St. Louis, MO, where his family owned an electrical equipment distributor. After attending the University of Missouri, Jim worked for a short time in the family business before embarking on a corporate career. The majority of his career was spent at Aramark, a global business services company. Despite the inevitable challenges and relocations, Jim thoroughly enjoyed the 23 years spent at Aramark, completing his career in 2022 as president of the refreshments business.
The Frosts have two children, both of whom got married within the last year. Their son Matthew and his new wife, Hillary, live in Atlanta, GA, where they are focused on their business careers and renovating a 1950s home. Their daughter Allison and her new husband, Trevor, live in Houston, where they are both focusing on their careers in public school education. They too are renovating a 1950s home.
As the Frosts made their way through 15 homes in 7 different states, (Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Illinois again, Tennessee, and now South Carolina) they always had an eye on the Lowcountry. Jim vacationed on Hilton Head Island during his childhood, and Sandy was introduced to Kiawah on their honeymoon 37 years ago.
The Frosts purchased a Moss Creek rental property in 2010 sight-unseen via an online auction. After verifying that the property actually existed, the couple became the proud owners of a small and very dated home. Luckily the home had one tenant for a decade, and when the tenant finally moved on, the timing allowed the Frosts to move in and begin a complete renovation. After the many surprises to be expected in a 40-year-old home, the finished product turned out great. However, it proved to be just too small, causing the Frosts to contemplate finding a new home in the area.
After looking at almost all communities in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area, the Frosts chose Hampton Hall. There were many reasons for this decision, including the welcoming team on the discovery tour, the helpful golf staff, the friendly Pete’s team, and the great amenities. Sandy’s immediate welcome at the Fitness Center and Jim’s round of golf sealed the deal.
The Frosts couldn’t be happier with their decision, as they continue to make new friends at the many events and activities provided in Hampton Hall. The community also gets a solid thumbs-up from Murphy, a seven-yearold Brittany who can be spotted with Sandy on walks each morning. The Frosts look forward to many years in Hampton Hall, with a few months each summer spent at their Lake Michigan cottage.
