First of I would like to thank God for making a dream a reality. Without His grace I would be nothing. God Is Able! ConFidante’s first issue!! I honestly don’t think anyone is more excited than I am. Every girl and (boys also!) wants to find that one person, their confidante, in life. Even if you don’t want to admit it you want someone special in your life. ConFidante takes the significant others of athletes and shares their experiences being in committed and not-so committed relationships with their ballers. I want you to be able to read this and realize that if you want to be with an athlete you can. And if you are scared to begin a relationship because of the rumors about dating athletes ConFidante wants you to know it is ok to take risk.

What's more, Shawn Darling, the man suing the NBA star for computer hacking, is reportedly writing a tell-all book in which he plans to expose Shaunie's plans to walk away with more money in her divorce. "Shaunie is freaking out," the source told RadarOnline.com. "She'll probably be deposed in his case and she does not want this information to come out." According to the source, when Shaunie discovered that Shaq was having an affair with Vanessa Lopez, she devised a plan to expose Shaq as an adulterer. "She reached out to Vanessa last October through Shawn, who was working for the family at the time," the source revealed. "Shawn called Vanessa and told her Shaunie wanted to meet her in the food court at her local mall in Orlando. They made plans to meet at Johnny Rockets at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday." The source said that Shaunie offered Lopez “an incentive” to meet with her. “She wanted to convince Vanessa to go public about her affair with Shaq because that way Shaunie could accuse Shaq of adultery, which would nullify the pre-nup and give her more money in the divorce.”

The plan ultimately backfired however. Lopez called Shaq and informed him of Shaunie’s plan and was advised by his divorce attorney not to meet at the last minute. According to the insider, Shaunie is now facing a new problem: the man she confided in is now writing a tell-all book. "Shaunie signed a confidentiality agreement when she married Shaq," the source said. "But then she went and told Shawn Darling personal things-including asking him to contact Vanessa Lopez and convince her to meet. "Now Shawn is threatening to expose Shaunie in the book and she's scared, not only because she'll be named, but because now Shaq could turn around and sue her for breach of contract." RadarOnline.com's calls to Shaunie O'Neal and her attorney Sorrell Trope requesting comment were not returned.

And one MTO reader happened to be there when it arrived," reports the site. "The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "It said 'I'm going to by Mrs James. He proposed.'" But don’t pop the champagne yet. Brian Windhorst, who covers James’ former team the Cavs for The Cleveland Plain-Dealers, says that the rumors are not true. “Not true I am told. RT @CavsWITNESS Rumor: @kingjames proposed to Savnnah,” reads his Twitter.
According to his Twitter, James was apparently in attendance at Drake’s concert at the James L. Knight center last night. Maybe Wheel Chair Jimmy got him in the proposal mood, but considering the guy is notoriously not shy, you think he might have mentioned it publicly by now. As for Brinson, she told Harper's Bazaar back in August she's in no rush to get married: "I would never rush him to do something like that. We're really comfortable with the way things are now. And it's not up to me. When it happens, it happens. We talk about it. If we do it, I want it to be forever."

According to RadarOnline, Longoria and Parker had agreed to split after the actress found hundreds of sexy text messages between Parker and Erin Barry, the wife of Parker's former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry. Longoria and Parker had come to a mutual decision about when they would announce the news of their split to the press, but Longoria, incensed by her husband's behavior, decided to file early, thrusting him unprepared into a media firestorm. "They were working out the details about who was going to file and when," a source tells Radar. "They didn't want it to become a messy divorce."
Despite Tony copping to the text messages, he denied ever having a physical relationship with Barry. "Look, any wife is going to be upset with what Tony did, but he swears the relationship with Erin stopped there and they never had sex," the source reports. Longoria's revenge on her husband didn't stop with her divorce filing: The actress allegedly broke the news about the relationship between Parker and Barry as well. Although Parker reportedly ended his flirtation with Barry months before it became public knowledge, Longoria was still enraged, particularly because she considered Barry a friend. "Eva is furious that Tony started a relationship with a woman she knew, a woman they went out with as couple friends. She felt betrayed by Tony and this is how she got a small measure of revenge." The couple, who married in 2007, have no children together and have a prenuptial agreement.

The R&B singer welcomed baby boy Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. on Tuesday at 11:54 p.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces. "The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time," the new mom's spokesperson told the mag. "Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."
Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. 7 months old Cole, 28, and Gibson, 24, reportedly became engaged with "an incredible ring" on New Year's Eve. Cole, who stars in her own BET reality show, recently opened up about her decision to end her rocky relationship with her family. After announcing in January that she was expecting, the singer issued a statement to her fans, explaining, "Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. "It's very important to both Daniel and I ... the stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it's not what I need at this time in my life."

Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony and actress LaLa Vazquez made it official on Saturday in a New York City wedding before guests including Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian and LeBron James. "Best night of my entire life," Vazquez wrote on her Twitter page. "Thank u to all my family and friends who shared tonight with me. I love u. I'm on cloud 9 right now." Vazquez wore a Vera Wang wedding gown as she exchanged vows with Anthony in a ceremony performed by Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, PEOPLE has learned. Also among the 300 invited guests were Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, Spike Lee, Ludacris and Kelly Rowland. The couple's 3-year-old son Kiyan served as ring bearer. The Manhattan venue, featuring towering marble columns and chandeliers, was transformed into a red-themed celebration featuring red table cloths, centerpieces of red Ecuadorian roses, hundreds of candles and thousands of red roses hanging from the high ceiling.
Kiyan Anthony was the ring bearer the wedding. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds joined their guests for cocktails and a sit-down dinner and dancing to a live band. The five-tiered white cake was decorated with red flowers. Vazquez and Anthony invited their guests with a red and gold wedding invitation decorated with Swarovski crystals. Designed by invitation company Lehr & Black, it was delivered in a black box featuring their first initials. The couple, who were engaged on Christmas Day 2004, kicked off their wedding weekend on Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner on a boat featuring gambling, cigar rollers, a buffet-style dinner and dancing to a DJ. The wedding, which was filmed for an upcoming VH1 reality show, was planned by event planner Mindy Weiss.

In an interview with ESSENCE.com, TV personality LaLa Vasquez dishes on her new reality show on VH1, "LaLa's Full Court Wedding," which premiered on Sunday, September 19 at 10:30 p.m. and documents the month before her wedding to Denver Nuggets' small forward Carmelo Anthony. She talks about waiting five years to tie the knot and getting relationship advice from her "big brother," Ludacris. ESSENCE.com: Why did you decide to let people into the behind the scenes of your wedding? La La Vasquez: People know me as a TV host, but I don't think they really know me and my personality. This is kind of a sneak peek into my life and who I am. ESSENCE.com: Who are you? How would you describe yourself?
Vasquez: I would describe myself as a very down to earth, humble person, with kind of girlnext-door qualities.
ESSENCE. com: What do you say to people who say you and Carmelo were engaged for too long or you did things backwards?
Vasquez: I just say that we did it our way
and this worked for us and it might not work for everybody. You have so many relationships where people rush into marriage and then they get divorced. Melo and I have been together for seven years. To me, that says something in this climate.
ESSENCE.com: You say you never dreamed of your wedding as a kid. Why not? Vasquez: I just wasn't that person. I just wanted to meet somebody, be in love and be happy. You have some people that get married and their unhappy, but they wear that marriage like a stamp. ESSENCE.com: Do you feel different now that you're a wife? Vasquez: I don't feel different as far as my responsibilities go. I just know that now it's official. You're really my husband. It's more of an inner thing. ESSENCE.com: Everyone's been talking about how amazing you've looked since your wedding. We call it your "after-wedding glow." Vasquez: I don't know that I have this glow. I'm just out there having a good time, trying to make sure I'm well-groomed when I go out. It's definitely a compliment. I just hope that it doesn't go away.
ESSENCE.com: What are the high points in the show?
ESSENCE.com: What was your wedding day like? Were you nervous?
Vasquez: You see Kelly Rowland and Kim
Vasquez: Once I got to Cipriani, that's when it set in. It kind of hit me when I started seeing family and friends. I was honestly humbled by the fact that so many people took time out of their lives to share with me and Melo. You had people that run huge companies take time off to be there. [Walking down the aisle] definitely was a surreal moment, like, "Wow. We are getting married."
Kardashian throw me my bachelor party. You see Ludacris, who I've known since high school, giving me advice. You see Tyrese doing that as well. I have to throw Melo a party and I only have two days. You get to see me and your favorite celebrities in this different way. When would you get to see Ludacris give his little sister, basically, advice about what men think? I kind of let the guards down. Even if it's something like trying to lose weight before my wedding; and now I'm trying to keep that weight off. It's a struggle like everybody else. People who say those things are easy -- they're not. You also wake up with me on my wedding day and go through that whole day with me.
ESSENCE.com: What's up next for you? Vasquez: In about two months I have a movie coming out called "Gun" with Val Kilmer and 50 Cent. I'm excited to be in this other realm. Acting is what I really want to do. The reality show is a special. It's me doing something different. ď Ż

It’s time for a whole new crop of professional sports wives on VH1! This time around it is the football wives of Dallas making waves and setting tongues wagging. Following the success of Basketball Wives, the network is taking a page from the Real Housewives book and taking the show national bringing in a whole new cast of over-the-top wives with Dallas worthy big hair and big bling in their newest reality offering, Football Wives. In the premiere episode, the gals got things brewing with a big fight over….. wait for it….. Bible Study! Pilar Sanders. Pilar is married to retired all-pro cornerback Deion Sanders. The couple have three children together – Shilo, Shedeur, and Shelomi. Deion has two children – Deion Jr. and Deiondra – from his marriage to Carolyn Chambers. This is the second reality offering by the family who previously starred in Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love on Oxygen in 2008.
Brittany Pigrenet. Britney is the girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys kicker David Buehler. The couple met while Brittany was working as a Hooter’s girl in Dallas. There are currently no children in the equation, but after a year together Brittany has her eyes on the prize with marriage and kids in their future.
Chanita Foster. Chanita is married to NFL veteran and current UFL tackle Greg Foster. The family has a very full house with six kids – three of the couple’s biological kids, one adopted son from Swaziland, the daughter of a neighbor who could no longer care for the girl, and a child from Greg’s previous relationship.
Dawn Neufeld. Dawn is married to Ryan Neufeld a former NFL player and current tight end in the UFL. The couple have two children – son Will and daughter Bryn. Facing the twilight of Ryan’s football career, the college sweethearts are facing the financial reality of life after professional football.
Amanda Davis. Amanda is the wife of Dallas Cowboys Offensive Lineman Leonard Davis. With big hair and big personality, Amanda manages a busy family and the family businesses. The couple have been married for five years and have two daughters.
Erin McBriar. Erin is married to Dallas Cowboys punter Mat McBriar. The couple have no children, and are realistic about the financial future of a NFL family. Erin is working towards owning her own fashion boutique.
Melani Ismail. Melani is married to former college and professional football player Rocket Ismail. The couple originally met on a blind date and married just four months later. They are parents to four children and make their home in Dallas. This season sees Melani trying to revitalize her music career.
Mercedes Nelson. Mercedes is the ex-girlfriend of Dallas star Marion Barber. She credits herself as a singer and burlesque dancer. She is the only ‘wife’ no longer with her man on the premiere season of Football Wives.

Relationships with athletes can be extremely overbearing. Rumors get spread so easily. Glenn and Carroll began their relationship in high school and already rumors formed about Glenn. “Rumors almost ended me and Mani’s relationship,” Carroll said. Rumors went around the high school such as Glenn cheating on Carroll, Glenn really wasn’t interested in being with Carroll, and even Glenn getting another female pregnant. “You don’t even know how much I cried when I heard this. I didn’t know what to do.” Even when Carroll thought the rumors where true she stood by Glenn’s side and never left. When all the rumors turned out to be false Carroll was so pleased that she never left.

None of these accomplishments compare to meeting the love of his life, Morgan Carroll. August 25, 2008, Morgan and Amani started their relationship. Like all relationships, Morgan and Amani have been through ups and downs. Morgan has been by his side through it all. “Being with an athlete I have had to endure a lot of hard times,” says Carroll, “but the good times beat out all of those times.”
In July 2009, what most people think would be the worst thing for an up and coming athlete to happen to happened. Carroll became pregnant but neither Carroll nor Glenn was upset. Her pregnancy made their relationship stronger. “In the beginning of my pregnancy only my closest friends knew but when people started finding out, you can’t imagine all that I heard.” Carroll heard people say that she was trying to trap Glenn because he was going somewhere or she just didn’t want to him to leave her.
February 17, 2010 Amiyah August Michele Glenn was born. Glenn had to rush home from school because she was born a month early. Glenn was in the middle of his first season at Kutztown. Unfortunately, he couldn’t complete his season. “I’m sad he doesn’t get to play but he’s good when his time is right he will get back out there and start playing again,” Carroll says about Glenn’s taking a year off of college. “We had to support our child and basketball wasn’t cutting it at the present moment.” Some people would consider Carroll not being a ConFidante of an athlete “I am an athlete’s girlfriend Amani will always be an athlete.” Carroll has confidence that Glenn will get back into the game and he will be able to support her and their daughter. “I love him and he loves us, I can’t wait till he gets back in the game and me and Miyah can go watch the games.” Far left: Amani Glenn Central Dauphin East High game

The British footballer has consistently denied these accusations and says that he has never ever cheated on his wife, neither does he intend to.
