Lessons in Surpassing the Pancreatic Cancer Survival Rate http://cybermedicinestore.com/lessons-in-surpassing-the-pancreatic-cancer-survival-rate/
I was reading through the daily news today and noticed from the report published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute shows that a diet rich in fat from red meat and dairy can increase your risk of pancreatic cancer. Now I love a good steak from time to time like most people and I figured by using the Law of Attraction, if I spend time focusing on this subject, I would intentionally/unintentionally bring that into my life. Nonetheless, my rational mind wanted to know more about pancreatic cancer as it seems just about anything can kill us if we watch the news all day. Hopefully you do not! ;) Knowledge is power and it pays to understand how one can get pancreatic cancer. It appears that it occurs due to our increased exposure to carcinogens like cigarettes and foods that are high in fat and protein. I closed my eyes when reading through the list of high fat foods which includes: butter, ice cream (oh no!), cheese, chicken fat, red meat, palm oil, coconut oil, lamb, veal and pork. Hold the phone! I try to eat as healthy as the next person, but that consists a major portion of my diet! I thought I would be fine considering I actively do yoga, workout and meditate...
But I am a pretty healthy individual, so I should be okay right? It appears that overweight people tend to be more at risk than their thin counterparts. Don't wipe your foreheads yet folks! It should be noted that it doesn't matter how much extra weight a person is carrying. Overweight people and thin people are both equally at risk for getting pancreatic cancer. How can one tell if they have pancreatic cancer? It is known as a silent killer for many reasons because it doesn't cause any symptoms. You should notice however if your skin and whites of
your eyes become jaundiced and your urine is darker than usual. One may also experience pain in the abdomen, loss of an appetite in addition to being tired all of the time. Remember the Law of Attraction that I mentioned earlier? Your best bet is to have an overall healthy lifestyle with a well balanced diet of fruits and vegetables that is essential to maintain general well being. Granted, research shows that cigarette smokers develop pancreatic cancer three times more often than non-smokers. If you still express doubts, a trip to your doctor is warranted. A quick trip to Wikipedia will also note that the prognosis is generally poor; less than 5 percent of those diagnosed are still alive five years after diagnosis. Keep that in mind and please remember that life is for the living!
