LEARNING PORTFOLIO

ARCH 101 Spring 2016 Instructor: Jerry Lum Wing Han Ho (Hana)

Introduction Fear, setback and fatigue all in first day of Architecture 101. I knew exactly what I was getting myself into grown mindset. I knew that this class was not only going to challenge my creativity, but also challenge to developing effective mounting, Fragile issues, measuring issues and time conflicts. I hadn’t prior design studio experiences or making models, but just in thinking about creating the first iteration, I was forced to think “different ways and a model in my mind could draw it on paper. That was one of the challenges I faced every time. I had to create a model and speak up in class. I was faced with many more trials, that you will see in this learning portfolio. This was beginning to start designer life.

Week 3: “ A Journey of Discovery to Local Places of Wonder 1) What is the value of this assignment to your goals of being a designer? - Being able to see through things: examining the angles, situation and simplicity. 2) In the adventure as it unfolded-what did you do differently? And why? - In my pictures I wanted to incorporate the nature aspects. 3) What did you discover? - Actually waking their bring a different feeling compared to just passing by car. It is hard to visualize by car. It is hard to visualize good shots or angles that show properties. 4) Did the camera heighten your experiences or not and why? - Yes, It amazes me on how camera takes shots of such good images. 5) What is your most memorable moment of this adventure? Why? - Leaning and kneeling to get the shot that I want, and the weather that day was just perfect.
