My name is Hanan Alhomodi I am from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. My mother is from Egypt, a country with a strong history of architectural engineering, and I believe that my passion for architecture came from my roots, through my ancestors, the pharaohs, and the creativity in building the pyramids. On the professional level, I worked in a human resources department for four years, during which time my passion for art continued to be strong. From time to time, I focused more on artistic pursuits, such as taking short classes in home decoration. Although I enjoyed my job, I felt that something was missing in my life, which I found that my soul was in the arts. I thus quit my job to continue my education to take a master’s degree by study in the U.S I started a new journey when I came to Los Angeles in June 2010 and started studying at the American Language Center at UCLA Extension. I then decided to apply to the Academy of Art University, based on my strong interest in the MFA program in interior Architecture and Design I believe that studying at Academy of Art will be my big chance to acquire new concepts of interior design. Learning more design skills at such a professional art university as Academy of Art University. With its professional reputation, that would add a lot to my experience. My long-term goal is to create my own magazine on interior design and home decoration. Such a master’s degree in interior design, would be the ideal first step toward this dream. Finally, I think that my job in the HR department has allowed me to understand how to communicate with people and try to help as much as I can and aiming to apply these skills in the future in my work on interior design with customers.

I designed this future office for an interior designer and I choose the moon as a concept . I applied the moon Phases in the floor to show how the design work in steps like the journey of moon phases. . Also, I choose materials that show the moon surface texture and I designed an opening workstation space because I believe in future the people will not want a close species to work in they can work together in very opening space.

The goal of this project was exploring spatial relationships and the importance of understanding spatial requirements in order to develop functional design solutions. The client was an advertising agency; Sterling, Cooper, Draper, Pryce, in New York ,decided to open an office in San Francisco and wanted you to help them design this new office. The office building located on 180 Montgomery Street at the heart of the Financial District. The Concept inspired by playing cards I tried to designing advertisements office and I wanted to add playing atmosphere to the place in order to relieve the pressure of work by creating brainstorm office with bean chairs in the floor. this kind of change of the chair or seating place will add more fun to the work as they are playingcards. in addition , I used tow shape from the playing cards clubs anddiamonds because of their flexibility. i used it in the place planning and in theceiling and wall.
