In 1993, having recognised the outstanding potential of the Hawkes Bays Gimblett Gravels winegrowing district, Trinity Hill became one of the regions early pioneers, planting grapevines on a barren plot which continues to produce exceptional wines today.
Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels
Gimblett Estate is an 18 hectare block of vineyards off Gimblett Road, close to the 125 Gimblett single Vineyard site. This vineyard is particularly stony, and home to 95% of their Syrah, as well as Tempranillo, Touriga Francesca, Viognier, Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Trinity Hill Single Vineyard
The 125 Gimblett Vineyard is just one of the Single Vineyard blocks creating stunning wines such as the 125 Chardonnay. Located on Gimblett Road, this site is 10 hectares of stony soil within the Gimblett Gravels. Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Marsanne and Cabernet Sauvignon is all grown, but the majority of the vineyard is made up of Chardonnay.
Trinity Hill Homage
The Gimblett Gravels Winegrowing District, covering 800ha, is strictly determined by the gravelly soils laid down by the old Ngaruroro River, which was exposed after a huge flood in the 1860’s. Homage speaks of its place. It is a definitive expression of New Zealand Syrah.
Valdespino
With an unwavering commitment to the demands and expense of traditional Jerez winemaking—and the revered Eduardo Ojeda as its winemaker—Valdespino produces some of the region’s purest and most intense Sherries, from some of its oldest soleras.
Yarra Burn
A fresh and lively
Zephyr
Owen and Wendy Glover were one of the first to plant grapes on their farm in Marlborough’s Dillons Point. Ben Glover launched the Zephyr label built around the family’s values, the unique site, and driven by single vineyard expression.
