About this pattern A chunky knit effect is achieved on this simple cushion cover by using three strands of DK yarn, knit together as if one strand.
Size 40 cm x 30 cm (16” x 12”) Tension 10 st. and 15 rows =10cm (4”) Abbreviations K knit P purl st st stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) RS right side K2tog knit 2 stitches together yo yarn over
Instructions Using 3 strands of yarn cast on 37 stitches. Row 1 (RS): K Row 2: P Continue in st st until work measures approximately 75 cm (29.5 inches) ending with RS facing for next row. Next row K18, yo, K2tog, K18 Next row P Next Row K Cast off. Mark position of corners and overlap envelope front by approx 5cm. Using matching yarn in double thickness, with right sides together stitch side seams. Position button, sew on using felt square on the back to reinforce stitches and prevent stitches pulling on knitting. Using buttonhole stitch, sew around buttonhole if required. Weave in ends.
