Tools to Prevent and Resolve Decoding Weaknesses Really Great Reading® specializes in helping educators build great decoders. We know that strong basic reading skills (like phonics and phonemic awareness) are the cornerstone of fluency and strong comprehension. Really Great Reading provides tools to help schools prevent and remediate decoding issues. Multisensory physical and virtual tools are used with Phonics Suite and supplement early reading instruction with explicit, multisensory phonics instruction (pp. 14–18). We excel in helping students in upper elementary, middle, and high school who are struggling to read fluently (p. 13). Phonics Suite lessons provide students with the knowledge and practice needed to overcome their decoding deficits. The lessons are flexible, appropriately paced, and mature. Lessons are easy to teach—you don’t have to be a reading specialist to implement the curriculum. With Phonics Suite, struggling readers will become more accurate, efficient, and confident readers.

Phonics Blitz™ Phonics Blitz is a set of 50 explicit, multisensory lessons designed for students in grades 4–12 who have gaps in their phonics knowledge and are struggling to read fluently. Diagnostic DecoDing surveys Beginning Decoding Survey Advanced Decoding Survey

More than 20 years of scientific, evidence-based reading research makes clear that all good readers must master certain basic skills. Those skills include the ability to decode words accurately – a skill that most struggling readers have difficulty with. This complimentary set of Diagnostic Decoding Surveys includes two informal diagnostic tools designed to quickly pinpoint decoding weaknesses in students of almost any age. The Diagnostic Decoding Surveys enable one-on-one assessment of phonics skills for struggling readers from the middle of first grade through adulthood. The surveys are efficient and easy to administer. For students with decoding weaknesses, the surveys can be used to identify which skills have already been mastered and which are weak.
