Listen /ˈlɪs(ə)n/ 1. Give one's attention to a sound. Take a walk, and listen to the park through your ear horn. Follow the sounds that you hear. Arrive at a sound. What do you think it wants to tell you? What do you notice?
Broadcast /ˈbrɔːdkɑːst/ 1. Transmit (a programme or some information) by radio or television. 2. Tell (something) to many people. Now that the sound has communicated with you, what do you want to say back to it or ask? Experiment with your megaphone using words and sounds. Share your sounds with the park. Share your sounds with a friend. Broadcast your sounds to a group of friends, the public and the rest of the park.
Zine /ziːn/ 1. A small magazine that is produced cheaply by one person or a small group of people, and is about a subject they are interested in. This activity invites you to investigate the park through sound, and provides a space to consider broadcasting as a strategy for sharing ideas we have about the world.
