MODULARIZED
WIZBRICK prevents from theft and damage, which are chronic problems of existing racks, with management and installation more economical. The rack composed of 3.45m X 0.65m module is consisted of a lock device and bicycle pump, and wheel cleaning facility. The systemized module can be rearranged into various configurations that may fit better to the surrounding environments. And at the same time, expansion or reduction of its size are convenient and thus satisfies the economic side of long-term management. Additionally, with electricity sourced from its solar system, basic functions such as entering, storing, managing are powered along with extra functions of supplying informations, night light and encouraged resting area. Through these, we look forward to see our new bicycle rack meet the conditions of publicness, standing as an eco-friendly, economical, and effective public open space.

Jindalrae District 1 - 3 SAMSUNG wanted to make design guide line for apartment brand RAEMIAN. They hosted the competition, and this project won. The project designed apartment that can expose territory instinct of users. Variouse palette of items were suggested to express individuality. However, the original design was scaling down significantly to simple figure bdue to economic stagnation. Jindalrae apartment complex consists of 3 districts, and each construction period progressed differently. Same design language is used to assign unity in every districts, which looks like one town. Including apartment block, also gate, security office, sunken, and retaining wall were designed.

Jeong-Reung area is old town which is near the highest mountain in Seoul. The district located in a slope, so apartment blocks are built in different level. We brought concept from the eaves, which is from old town near the site. Also, the transition of design went through same simplification process as a paper crane. The details of shapes are different, but same design language is used in facility design such as the gate, entrance, and tea house.

This project located on Garosu-gil in Seoul. ‘Garosu-gil’ means a tree-lined avenue. This is designed according to the concept of ‘avenue for local society’ with the motive of design merged into place. With the motive corresponding to avenue, the abstract image of tree is applied in interior space to expand the avenue into the inside of the store.
View of ‘Garosu-gil’
The existent window at the facade is expanded up to the 2nd floor to break the barrier between street and building and abstract image of avenue is vertically applied on this expanded glass facade.
1st FLOOR
The abstract street trees stand in line on the 1st floor like the avenue continues through inside the store. Glass-finish entire rear wall creates visual connection between interior and exterior spaces and allows more effective expansion of the avenue.

RE-FRAME is unit based system where reaction diffusion is a principle growth algorithm controlled by rule sets, parameters and time. Through the unitto-unit interrelation, in the different scales and configurations, new computation design systems could produce continuous formations and actively engage with its environment (subjects and objects), be able to explore and operate with it.

This growth strategy includes a Random Walker/Wanderer component which moves the agent through a baseline 3D grid that corresponds to the geometry that will be places in the trail points that the walker leaves behind (in this case a truncated octahedron). As such the Walker/Wanderer can only move in 14 pre-approved directions corresponding to the maximum amount of neighboring components in a grid.
