Design Realisation The brief was to investigate into reptiles, birds and insects and develop a collection for Spring/Summer 2016 from drawings and observations. For my research I visited the Great North Museum Library in Newcastle and the American Museum of Natural History in New York when on a University trip. However, when developing my insect observations I came across a book of geometric patterns and used that as the main inspiration for the colour and print.
Design Realisation & Promotion We were given the brief to produce a shirt design into a three dimensional form while developing our pattern cutting and toile skills. I made a shirt with two collar shapes one on the front and one on the back with the buttons running down the back of the shirt. The simple angular decoration was hand embroidered onto the bottom of the shirt. To photograph the shirt I documented inspirations in my sketchbook of different hair styles,
make-up and locations. The final photoshoot was taken underneath an angular bridge in Newcastle.
Fashion Trend Package The brief was to generate a prediction package for Menswear or Womenswear for Spring/Summer 2016. I chose to create a lingerie trend package inspired by the ever evolving cramp urban chaos and named it Bottleneck.

Corroded Contour As part of my Art Foundation course prior to starting my degree, I designed a screen printed jumpsuit with the theme of corroded and weathered objects. After screen printing my design onto the jumpsuit I styled and photographed the garment with a clutch bag I created out of an old supermarket shopping basket.
Design and Illustration The brief for this project was to choose a brand and then design our own collection that fitted within the look and feel of that particular company. In order to understand the company I carried out both primary and secondary research including through their instore magazine and a shop report, I recorded my outcomes visually in a sketchbook. Finally I had to create a concept and muse for my collection which I named Parallelism. The collection was based on the contrast and similarities between the modern and past city thus the name Parallelism.
