I changed the opacity of my background picture to make it blend it slightly, so when I write over the top it stands out, and is easier for the audience to read. I changed the opacity by double clicking on layer 1 then I dragged the opacity dial down to 78%.
On the text of ‘contents’ I used the stroke tool to make it bolder. To do this I double clicked on the ‘contents’ layer and used the stroke tool by dragging the dial to 13%. I didn’t make it too big as it would over power the writing.
To draw the box I used the rectangular marquee tool, in order to fill it with the colour I wanted; I clicked the paint bucket tool and just clicked inside the box.
For my lead article headline I once again used the stroke tool to make the writing bolder, so it can stand out over the background. I only put the size of the stroke dial to 2% so the writing would be more understandable and not blurry against
