PORTFOLIO first year experience selected works

exploring elements of design through color and light

The semester began with the introduction to these essential design Principles. We began our attempt to define them using photography, diagramming, and words.

Pattern

We began to explore the three dimensional qualities of these different design principles in all white forms.

A color study of white models using LED light photography.

In the final round of theexperiment, we began to recreate and remodel using applied and refelcted color to reinforce and enhance the design principles we were previously exploring in all white models.

STEREOTOMICS

We began to explore stereotomic form through foam models. We began with a 6x6 foam cube and subtracted from the mass to arrive at different forms.

Using casting to advance our forms, we experimented with plaster and concrete during our process stage.
