AFFORDABLE HOUSING _ INSTEAD OF WAIT, WE FACE WITH PANDEMIC Project Brief: URBAN REGENERATION AS AN ACTION TO IMPROVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING ISSUE IN URBAN AREA The idea of urban regeneration is an attempt to tackle brownfield and underutilized land and decaying urban areas. These underutilized land will deteriorate the city’s image, livability, and efficiency. It’s an aimed to solve urban problems and finding a long-term improvements to the economic, physical, social and environmental aspects of an area to be changed. Project included to discuss and propose sustainable urban and building design synthesis by taking into account the economic environment and socio-cultural of the Urban Regeneration and Housing Gentrification Proposal. Next, prepare a strategic plan of URBAN REGENERATION ISSUES AND THE IMPACT TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE URBAN ENVIRONMENT THROUGH URBAN REGENERATION PROPOSAL. And lastly to present conceptual model and design proposal of the Urban Regeneration through Gentrification of Dilapidated Public Housing Project.

TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT_ FESTIVE FOOD HALL AS CATALYST Design Statement: Paramount Festive Food Hall is the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project that playing the concept of the combination of expanding food business idea with local festive celebration along the year that makes Taman Paramount as a vibrant festive Urban Village in Petaling Jaya. Festive celebrations such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas and etc will be the attraction to gather people from different areas. While the different seasons food menu that prepared by their own training chef also makes a highlight of the place. Beside as a food hall, the open space also act as the exterior stage where all the performances will be happen here. The specialty of the building is the new program on the upper floor level, Culinary Incubator (Shared kitchen) where the locals and new users can actually conduct any activities about food such as cooking class, food testing, new recipe experiment, food training, and etc. Multifunctional teaching and gathering space aimed at training & educating the next generation of restaurants, young chefs, bakers and brewers. It is also a place where the different food cultures from different races such as Malay, Chinese, Indian can exchange their traditional recipe with the new technology from young chef. Vegetarians are definitely invited to this food hall and ready for serving by the organic cafe which is actually a combo of selling organic products as well as organic food that are vegetarian friendly. The existing building which served as an old cinema before is keep perfectly as what current market, Star Grocer and Mr Diy. They are the golden memories to the place and locals. Instead of demolishing everything, the Green Belly project have upgraded the existing building facade by putting the new urban farming project and mobile food business to the local. As a summary, this urban renewal program can empower the community through engaging the public by stimulate the community involvement to generate a vibrant festival urban village as the new landmark to Taman Paramount. In short, to revive and create the essence of Taman Paramount

M3 A NEW LEARNING PLATFORM THAT BEYOND CLASSROOM Abstract : Education and poverty are close related to each other as education always seems a solution to eradicate the issue of poverty. The potential outcome of this thesis hope to encourage the possibility of education can be flexible in providing both formal and informal, long term and short term knowledge to address the different needs of the study users. This project trying to highlight that the important of make learning more lively to the new generation especially the future generations where creative is playing such a important position. Upon on that, architecture come as a catalyst to boost up the learning environment and the relationship or learning and living in a “space”. Also, this project included to make education as a solution to eliminate the poverty cycle by make use of the local culture as part of learning programs, to shape a new identity, a new alternative learning platform which is more suitable and affordable to the target users.

An office with better working environment
Project Brief : Client wish to build a more human comfort and modern design of working office by highlight the glass facade to promote more permeability and open floor plan for user movement. The office celebrate by the timber louvers with wood color to blend the building to the surrounding to create a better conversation to the nature. The triple volume at the central core invite the people into a more grand volume as entrance statement. The unique louver wing stands out as a modern shading feature to the building. Although it is a single building stand on the hill but it give a harmony and neutral environment to the surrounding and the users as well.
