Boston Medical Center Rooftop Design
XDS3001 - Advanced Interdisciplinary Studio Spring 2016 Gaenzler, Nicole ; Church, Elizabeth
This project is located on the top of a parking garage which belongs to Boston Medical Center. The rooftop is accessible to two residential buildings, gym and other facilities that are pertinent to hospital staff. However, Boston Medical Center employees for the most part are not drawn to the rooftop; it has been for the most part, left vacant. I have proposed to apply urban agriculture as a means to attract employees and visitors alike as a healing ground to activate positive use of a now useless rooftop space.
