CANYON ROPES COURSE – HEXENKESSEL „Courage is being afraid, but willing to tackle your fear anyway.” Right now you‘re probably thinking, what is a „Canyon Ropes Course“? Simply put, it is a climbing route with a fixed protection system consisting of steel cables, ladders and ziplines. Our Canyon Ropes Course makes it possible for non-experienced climbers to experience the excitement and adventure of climbing in a safe environment. That‘s not where it ends though, the numerous ziplines which stretch across the river from one side of the canyon to the other make for the ultimate adventure. The absolute highlight is without a doubt the longest zipline, which stretches 190m accross the canyon and hangs 100m above the canyon floor! Before heading to Hexenkessel, we spend the morning preparing and getting accustomed to the equipment in our Forest High Ropes Course.

WHAT YOU‘LL NEED TO BRING: Practical footwear and comfortable outdoor clothing. Extras that you might want to bring along; small backpack with something to eat, a drink, jacket etc. INCLUDES: Safety equipment, entry to our Forest and Canyon Ropes Course. TIME FRAME: 10.00 – 12.00 Forest High Ropes Course Gleinkersee 12.00 – 13.00 Lunch break 13.00 – 17.00 Canyon Ropes Course Hexenkessel ACCOMPANIMENT: Qualified guide. REQUIREMENTS: No previous knowledge/experience required, minimum age 14yrs.

GETTING HERE The Pyhrn Priel Holiday Region is situated in Upper Austria and is easily accessable from all larger cities. From Linz it‘s 1 hour drive, from Graz 1,5 hours, from Salzburg 1,5 hours, from Innsbruck it‘s 3 hour drive, from Vienna 2,5 hours and from Passau just 2 hours. TRAVELLING BY CAR A3: Nürnberg – Regensburg – Passau – Follow the A8 towards Wels until reaching the Voralpenkreuz Junction, turn right and continue along the A9 until you reaching the exit for Windischgarsten/ Rossleithen.
