Every year, Harbor Day School participates in the Imagination Celebration. This month-long celebration of the arts honors the creativity of students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Orange County. Out of 1,200 pieces submitted, 400 are selected to be displayed at Crystal Court in South Coast Plaza. Harbor Day featured 23 pieces in this year’s show. Out of those 23 pieces, 15 students had their art move on to the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach during the summer. Here are the students who had their work displayed at South Coast Plaza in spring 2021.

Harbor Day student RHYSE WILKS won first place for 3D art at the Youth Art Month (YAM) Southern California intermediate level (grades 6–8) in 2020. Sargent Art awards all first place winners with a set of art supplies. The winner for last year was announced late due to the pandemic. Rhyse sculpted a red cardinal from clay.
