In August 2008, Harcourts asked one simple question: How can we better support the local communities that have supported us? This one question led to the establishment of The Harcourts Foundation.
The Derwent Valley Autumn Festival was an idea conceived by two Derwent Valley Councillors who wanted to build greater social capital for the local community. With the community having gone through a depressed period for a number of years, they felt that a ‘vehicle’ was needed to give expression to the positive aspects of the Derwent Valley.
Working with health professionals, Heartkids provides lifelong support to those with childhood heart disease and their families. We also fund lifesaving research, advocate for the needs of children with CHD & their families, and provide information and education.
The Harcourts Foundation has raised over $4 million since 2008 and assisted hundreds of charitable organisations throughout Australia and the world, with a percentage of every sale donated. Enjoying one of the most picturesque settings anywhere in the state, the festival marks a special time of the year. Harcourts is delighted to sponsor this great community event.
Super Boss Day is a fun new initiative where bosses and co-workers dress as a superhero for a day to raise funds for HeartKids to support kids with heart disease. In 2017 Harcourts Signature was proud to support this initiative, raising hundreds of dollars for Heartkids.
